أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ، فَاسْتَنَاخَتْ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ بَيْنَ دَارِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَدَارِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، فَأَتَاهُ النَّاسُ، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، الْمَنْزِلُ، فَانْبَعَثَتْ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ، فَقَالَ: دَعُوهَا، فَإِنَّهَا مَأْمُورَةٌ ثُمَّ خَرَجَتْ بِهِ، حَتَّى جَاءَتْ بِهِ مَوْضِعَ الْمِنْبَرِ، فَاسْتَنَاخَتْ بِهِ، ثُمَّ تَجَلْجَلَتْ، وَلِنَاسٍ ثَمَّ عَرِيشٌ كَانُوا يَرُشُّونَهُ وَيَعْمُرُونَهُ وَيَتَبَرَّدُونَ فِيهِ، حَتَّى نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ رَاحِلَتِهِ، فَأَوَى إِلَى الظِّلِّ، فَنَزَلَ فِيهِ، فَأَتَاهُ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَنْزِلِي أَقْرَبُ الْمَنَازِلِ إِلَيْكَ، فَانْقُلْ رَحْلَكَ إِلَيَّ، قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، فَذَهَبَ بِرَاحِلَتِهِ إِلَى الْمَنْزِلِ، ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، انْزِلْ عَلَيَّ، فَقَالَ: " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ مَعَ رَحْلِهِ حَيْثُ كَانَ " وَثَبَتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْعَرِيشِ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ لَيْلَةً حَتَّى بَنَى الْمَسْجِدَ
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ arrived in Madinah, and his riding camel knelt with him between the house of Jafar b. Muhammad b. Ali and the house of al-Hasan b. Zayd. The people came to him and said, “O Messenger of God, the lodging!” His camel then moved on with him, so he said, “Leave it, for it is commanded.” Then it went out with him until it brought him to the site of the pulpit, where it knelt with him. Then it became restless. There was a shelter belonging to some people there that they used to sprinkle, maintain, and cool themselves in, until the Messenger of God ﷺ dismounted from his camel and sought the shade, entering it. Abu Ayyub came to him and said, “O Messenger of God, my house is the nearest of houses to you, so move your baggage to me.” He said, “Yes.” So he took his camel to the house. Then another man came to him and said, “O Messenger of God, stay with me.” He said, “A man stays with his baggage wherever it is.” The Messenger of God ﷺ remained in the shelter for twelve nights until he built the mosque.

كُنَّا مَعَ طَاوُسٍ فِي الْمَقَامِ، فَسَمِعْنَا ضَوْضَاءَ، فَقَالَ طَاوُسٌ: مَا هَذَا ؟ فَقَالَ: قَوْمٌ أَخَذَهُمُ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ فِي سَبَبٍ، فَطَوَّقَهُمْ فَسَمِعْتُ طَاوُسًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُحْدِثُ فِي هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ حَدَثًا لَمْ يَكُنْ يَمُوتُ حَتَّى يُصِيبَهُ ذَلِكَ
✧ We were with Tawus at the Station when we heard a clamor. Tawus said, “What is this?” He was told, “People whom Ibn Hisham has seized for a cause, and he has placed collars on them.” Then I heard Tawus narrate from Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of God ﷺ said: “There is no one who introduces an innovation in this community that did not exist but that he will be afflicted with it before he dies.”

أَهْدَى أَمِيرُ الْقِبْطِ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ جَارِيَتَيْنِ أُخْتَيْنِ وَبَغْلَةً، فَأَمَّا الْبَغْلَةُ: فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْكَبُهَا، وَأَمَّا إِحْدَى الْجَارِيَتَيْنِ: فَتَسَرَّاهَا، فَوَلَدَتْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَأَمَّا الْأُخْرَى فَأَعْطَاهَا حَسَّانَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ
✧ The ruler of the Copts gifted the Messenger of God ﷺ two slave girls who were sisters and a mule. As for the mule, the Messenger of God ﷺ rode it. As for one of the slave girls, he took her as a concubine, and she bore Ibrahim. As for the other, he gave her to Hassan b. Thabit al-Ansari.

✧ The Prophet ﷺ bought from a Bedouin—he said: I think he said: from Banu 'Amir b. Sa'sa'a—a load of khbat or a load of wheat or grain. When the sale was concluded, he said to him: "Choose." The Bedouin said: "I have never seen the like of today. May God grant you long life, from whom are you?" He said: "From Quraysh."

✧ It was said: "O Messenger of God, should we perform witr after the adhan of dawn?" The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Perform witr before the adhan." He said: The Prophet's ﷺ adhan was after the break of dawn. They said: "Should we perform witr after the adhan?" The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Perform witr before the adhan." They said the third time: "Should we perform witr after the adhan?" He said: "Perform witr after the adhan." Thus he granted them a concession.

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، حَتَّى إِذَا طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَاتَّبَعْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: انْطَلِقْ بِنَا حَتَّى نَدْخُلَ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ " فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا، فَإِذَا هِيَ نَائِمَةٌ مُضْطَجِعَةٌ، فَقَالَ: " يَا فَاطِمَةُ، مَا يُنِيمُكِ فِي هَذِهِ السَّاعَةِ ؟ " قَالَتْ: مَا زِلْتُ مُنْذُ الْبَارِحَةِ مَحْمُومَةً قَالَ: " فَأَيْنَ الدُّعَاءُ الَّذِي عَلَّمْتُكِ ؟ " قَالَتْ: نَسِيتُهُ قَالَ: " قُولِي: يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ، أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ، وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى أَحَدٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَلَا إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ
✧ We were with the Messenger of God ﷺ in the mosque, until when the sun rose the Messenger of God ﷺ went out and I followed him. He said: "Come with us so that we may enter upon Fatimah bt. Muhammad ﷺ." He entered upon her, and she was asleep, lying down. He said: "O Fatimah, what makes you sleep at this hour?" She said: "I have been feverish since last night." He said: "Where is the supplication that I taught you?" She said: "I forgot it." He said: "Say: O Living, O Self-Sustaining, by Your mercy I seek help; set right all my affairs for me, and do not entrust me to any person or to myself for the blink of an eye."

مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ مَوْضِعُ قَدَمٍ وَلَا شِبْرٍ وَلَا كَفٍّ إِلَّا وَفِيهِ مَلَكٌ قَائِمٌ أَوْ مَلَكٌ رَاكِعٌ أَوْ مَلَكٌ سَاجِدٌ، فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالُوا جَمِيعًا: سُبْحَانَكَ مَا عَبَدْنَاكَ حَقَّ عِبَادَتِكَ، إِلَّا أَنَّا لَمْ نُشْرِكْ بِكَ شَيْئًا
✧ There is no place in the seven heavens the size of a foot, a span, or a palm except that in it is an angel standing, bowing, or prostrating. Then on the Day of Resurrection they will all say: Glory be to You, we have not worshipped You as You deserve to be worshipped, except that we have not associated anything with You.

✧ I am Ahmad, and I am Muhammad, and I am al-Hashir after whom people will be gathered, and I am al-Mahi through whom God erases disbelief. When the Day of Resurrection comes, the banner of praise will be with me, and I will be the leader of the messengers and the possessor of their intercession.

مَنْ أَكَلَ بِرَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ أَكْلَةً فَإِنَّ اللهَ يُطْعِمُهُ مِثْلَهَا مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ، وَمَنْ كُسِيَ ثَوْبًا بِرَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ فَإِنَّ اللهَ يَكْسُوهُ مِثْلَهُ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ، وَمَنْ قَامَ بِرَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ مَقَامَ سُمْعَةٍ فَإِنَّ اللهَ يُقِيمُهُ مَقَامَ رِيَاءٍ وَسُمْعَةٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
✧ Whoever consumes a morsel at the expense of a Muslim, God will feed him the like of it from Hell; and whoever is clothed with a garment at the expense of a Muslim, God will clothe him with the like of it from Hell; and whoever takes a position of repute at the expense of a Muslim, God will set him up in a position of ostentation and repute on the Day of Resurrection.

الْأُمُورُ كُلُّهَا خَيْرُهَا وَشَرُّهَا مِنَ اللهِ، وَقَالَ: " إِنَّ الْقَدَرَ نِظَامُ التَّوْحِيدِ، فَمَنْ وَحَّدَ اللهَ وَآمَنَ بِالْقَدَرِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَى، وَمَنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِالْقَدَرِ كَانَ نَاقِضًا لِلتَّوْحِيدِ ". وَقَالَ: " لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مُكَذِّبٌ بِقَدَرٍ
✧ All matters, their good and their evil, are from God. And he said: "Destiny is the system of monotheism. Whoever affirms the oneness of God and believes in destiny has grasped the firmest handhold, and whoever does not believe in destiny has negated monotheism." And he said: "No one who denies destiny will enter Paradise."

✧ Whoever fasts a day in the path of God, God will place between him and the Fire a trench as wide as the distance between heaven and earth.
