He said, "So I unloaded their saddles, then I prayed the morning prayer until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed. Then I went out to al-Baqi', put my fingers in my ears, and said, 'Whoever has a debt owed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, let him come forward.' I kept selling and paying until no debt remained owed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to anyone, and there remained in my hand two uqiyyahs or one and a half uqiyyah. Then I went to the mosque and found that most of the day had passed. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was standing in the mosque. I greeted him, and he said, 'What happened with what was with you?' I said, 'Allah has taken care of everything that was owed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so nothing remains.' He said, 'Is there anything left over?' I said, 'Yes.' He said, 'See that you relieve me of it, for I will not enter upon any of my family until you relieve me of it.' No one came to us until evening. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the 'atamah (night prayer), he called me and said, 'What happened with what was with you?' I said, 'It is still with me; no one has come to us.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed until morning, and he remained in the mosque until the next day. Then two men came, and I went with them, fed them, and clothed them. When he prayed the 'atamah, he called me and said, 'What happened with what was with you?' I said, 'Allah has relieved you of it, O Messenger of Allah.' He praised Allah for that, then he went to his wives and greeted each one of them." And we do not know of this hadith being reported from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except through this chain.
