Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 50Weak
اكْتَحِلُوا بِالإِثْمِدِ فَإِنَّهُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ وَزَعَمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَتْ لَهُ مُكْحُلَةٌ يَكْتَحِلُ مِنْهَا كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ ثَلاثَةً فِي هَذِهِ وَثَلاثَةً فِي هَذِهِ
"Color the edges of the eyelids with antimony [ithmid], for it clears the vision and makes the eyelashes grow!” He also maintained that the Prophet ﷺ had a kohl jar from which he used to apply kohl to his eyelashes every night, three times in this [eye],and three times in that.
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 51Weak
كَانَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَكْتَحِلُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنَامَ بِالإِثْمِدِ ثَلاثًا فِي كُلِّ عَيْنٍ
“Allah’s Messenger ﷺ used to color the edges of his eyelids with antimony before going to sleep, three times in each eye. Yazid ibn Harun also said in his tradition: “The Prophet ﷺ had a kohl jar from which he used to apply kohl to his eyelashes before going to sleep, three times in each eye.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 52Weak
عَلَيْكُمْ بِالإِثْمِدِ عِنْدَ النَّوْمِ فَإِنَّهُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ
"Allah’s Messenger said ﷺ: “You must apply antimony before going to sleep, for it clears the vision and makes the eyelashes grow.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 53Hasan
إِنَّ خَيْرَ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الإِثْمِدُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ
"Allah’s Messenger said ﷺ: 'The best of your eye salves is antimony, for it clears the vision and makes the eyelashes grow.'”

كَانَ أَحَبَّ الثِّيَابِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَلْبَسُهُ الْقَمِيصُ
"The apparel dearest to Allah’s Messenger ﷺ was the shirt he used to wear.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 58Hasan
كَانَ كُمُّ قَمِيصِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الرُّسْغِ
“The sleeve of the shirt of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ extended to the wrist.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 59Sahih
أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي رَهْطٍ مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ لِنُبَايِعَهُ وَإِنَّ قَمِيصَهُ لَمُطْلَقٌ أَوْ قَالَ زِرُّ قَمِيصِهِ مُطْلَقٌ قَالَ فَأَدْخَلْتُ يَدِي فِي جَيْبِ قَمِيصِهِ فَمَسَسْتُ الْخَاتَمَ
“I came to Allah’s Messenger ﷺ in a group of fewer than ten men from the Muzaina tribe, so that we might pay homage to him, and his shirt was set loose (or: “the button of his shirt was set loose”), so I inserted my hand in the breast of his shirt and I touched the Seal.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 60Sahih
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَرَجَ وَهُوَ يَتَّكِئُ عَلَى أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبٌ قِطْرِيٌّ قَدْ تَوَشَّحَ بِهِ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ
"The Prophet ﷺ came out leaning on Usama ibn Zaid, wearing an outer garment of coarse cotton fabric, which he had thrown on loosely, then he led them in the ritual prayer.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 61Sahih
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَجَدَّ ثَوْبًا سَمَّاهُ بِاسْمِهِ عِمَامَةً أَوْ قَمِيصًا أَوْ رِدَاءً ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كَمَا كَسَوْتَنِيهِ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهُ وَخَيْرَ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَشَرِّ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ
"When Allah’s Messenger ﷺ donned a new garment, he would call it by its name, then he would say: 'O Allah praise be to You, as You have clothed me with it! I beg You for its goodness and the goodness of what it has been made for, and I take refuge with You from its evil and the evil of what it has been made for!’”

✧ “O Allah, to You belongs praise as You have clothed me with it. I ask You for its good and the good of what it was made for, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what it was made for.”

كَانَ أَحَبَّ الثِّيَابِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَلْبَسُهُ الْحِبَرَةُ
“The apparel dearest to Allah’s Messenger ﷺ was the hibara [striped garment of Yemenite fabric] that he used to wear.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 64Sahih
رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَعَلَيْهِ حُلَّةٌ حَمْرَاءُ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَرِيقِ سَاقَيْهِ
“I saw the Prophet ﷺ wearing a red garb, as if I were looking at the sheen of his legs.” Sufyan said: “I think it was a hibara [striped garment of Yemenite fabric].”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 65Sahih
مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا مِنَ النَّاسِ أَحْسَنَ فِي حُلَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِنْ كَانَتْ جُمَّتُهُ لَتَضْرِبُ قَرِيبًا مِنْ مَنْكِبَيْهِ
"I never saw anyone among the people more handsome in a red garb than Allah’s Messenger ﷺ, when the hair of his head was touching close to his shoulders.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 66Sahih
رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدَانِ أَخْضَرَانِ
“I saw the Prophet ﷺ wearing two green garments."
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 67Weak
رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَعَلَيْهِ أَسْمَالُ مُلَيَّتَيْنِ كَانَتَا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ وَقَدْ نَفَضَتْهُ
“I saw the Prophet ﷺ wearing the tatters of two sheets which had been dyed with saffron, but had lost their color....” (This tradition is part of a longer story.)
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 68Hasan
عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْبَيَاضِ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ لِيَلْبِسْهَا أَحْيَاؤُكُمْ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خِيَارِ ثِيَابِكُمْ
Allah’s Messenger said ﷺ: “You should acquire white clothes, so that your living ones may wear them, and you can shroud your deceased in them, for they are among the best of your clothes.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 69Weak
الْبَسُوا الْبَيَاضَ فَإِنَّهَا أَطْهَرُ وَأَطْيَبُ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ
“Allah’s Messenger said ﷺ: 'Wear white, for it is most pure and pleasant, and you must shroud your deceased therein'.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 70Hasan
خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ غَدَاةٍ وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ مِنْ شَعَرٍ أَسْودَ
'Aisha said; “Allah's Messenger ﷺ went out one early morning, wearing a wrap of black hair.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 71Sahih
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَبِسَ جُبَّةً رُومِيَّةً ضَيِّقَةَ الْكُمَّيْنِ
“The Prophet ﷺ wore a Byzantine robe with narrow sleeves.”

قال كُنَّا عِنْدَ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ وَعَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَانِ مُمَشَّقَانِ مِنْ كَتَّان فَتَمَخَّطَ في أحدهما فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ بَخْ بَخْ يَتَمَخَّطُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فِى الْكَتَّانِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي وَإِنِّى لأَخِرُّ فِيمَا بَيْنَ مِنْبَرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وحُجْرَةِ عَائِشَةَ ؓ مَغْشِيًّا عَلَيَّّ فَيَجِىءُ الْجَائِى فَيَضَعُ رِجْلَهُ عَلَى عُنُقِى يُرَى أَنّ بِي جْنُونٌا وَمَا بِي جُنُونٍ ومَا هو إِلاَّ الْجُوعُ
We were in the presence of Abu Huraira, and he was wearing two linen garments dyed with red clay. He blew his nose in one of them, then said: “Bravo! Bravo! Abu Huraira is blowing his nose in the linen! I had found myself (in the past) as I would drop between the pulpit of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ and the room of 'A'isha ᴿᴬ falling unconscious, so the one who would come (by) would come then plant his foot on my neck, supposing I was afflicted with insanity, though I was not afflicted with insanity, and it was merely hunger.”

قال مَا شَبِعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ خُبْزٍ قَط وَلَحم إِلاَّ عَلى ضفَفَ
"Allah’s Messenger ﷺ never ate his fill of bread, nor of meat, except at a meal in the company of many diners.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 72Weak
أَنَّ النَّجَاشِيَّ أَهْدَى لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ خُفَّيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ سَاذَجَيْنِ فَلَبِسَهُمَا ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا
"The Negus [the Emperor of Ethiopia] gave the Prophet ﷺ a pair of plain black shoes, so he put them on, then performed the minor ritual ablution and wiped over them.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 73Sahih
أَهْدَى دِحْيَةُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ خُفَّيْنِ فَلَبِسَهُمَا
"Dihya [a notable Companion of his] gave the Prophet ﷺ a pair of plain black shoes, so he wore them,"— and Isra’il said, on the authority of Jabir, on the authority of 'Amir: "[He also gave him] a gown, so he wore the shoes until they were perforated, without the Prophet ﷺ knowing whether or not they were made from the hide of a lawfully slaughtered animal.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 74Sahih
قُلْتُ لأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ كَيْفَ كَانَ نَعْلُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ لَهُمَا قِبَالانِ
‘How were the sandals of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ?’ He said: ‘They had two thongs'.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 75Weak
كَانَ لِنَعْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قِبَالانِ مَثْنِيٌّ شِرَاكَهُمَا
"The sandals of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ had two thongs with double laces.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 76Sahih
أَخْرَجَ إِلَيْنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ نَعْلَيْنِ جَرْدَاوَيْنِ لَهُمَا قِبَالانِ قَالَ فَحَدَّثَنِي ثَابِتٌ بَعْدُ عَنْ أَنَسُ أَنَّهُمَا كَانَتَا نَعْلَيِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
"Anas ibn Malik brought out to us a pair of hairless sandals with two thongs. Then Thabit told me afterwards, on the authority of Anas, that they were the sandals of the Prophet ﷺ.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 77Sahih
رَأَيْتُكَ تَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ السِّبْتِيَّةَ قَالَ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ الَّتِي لَيْسَ فِيهَا شَعَرٌ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ فِيهَا فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَلْبَسَهَا
"I saw you wearing the tanned ox-hide sandals with no hair on them [an-ni'al as-sibtiyya]." He replied: "I saw Allah’s Messenger ﷺ wearing the sandals on which there is no hair, and he performed the minor ritual ablution in them, so I love to wear them!”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 78Sahih
كَانَ لِنَعْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قِبَالانِ
"The sandals of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ had two thongs."
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 79Weak
رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي نَعْلَيْنِ مَخْصُوفَتَيْنِ
"I saw Allah's Messenger ﷺ performing the ritual prayer in sewn sandals.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 80Sahih
لا يَمْشِيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدَةٍ لِيُنْعِلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ لِيُحْفِهِمَا جَمِيعًا
“Let none of you walk in a single sandal. Let him wear them both or take them both off!”

Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 82Sahih
نَهَى أَنْ يَأْكُلَ يَعْنِي الرَّجُلَ بِشِمَالِهِ أَوْ يَمْشِيَ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدَةٍ
“The Prophet ﷺ forbade one (referring to the man) to eat with his left hand, or to walk in a single sandal.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 83Sahih
إِذَا انْتَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيَمِينِ وَإِذَا نَزَعَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالشِّمَالِ فَلْتَكُنِ الْيَمِينُ أَوَّلَهُمَا تُنْعَلُ وَآخِرَهُمَا تُنْزَعُ
“The Prophet said ﷺ: "When one of you puts on sandals, let him begin with the right, and when he takes them off, let him begin with the left, for the right must be the first of them to be put on, and the last of them to be taken off.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 84Sahih
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُحِبُّ التَّيَمُّنَ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فِي تَرَجُّلِهِ وَتَنَعُّلِهِ وَطُهُورِهِ
"Allah’s Messenger ﷺ would love to start whatever he could on the right side, in his combing, his footwear and his purification.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 85Weak
كَانَ لِنَعْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قِبَالانِ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَأَوَّلُ مَنْ عَقَدَ عَقْدًا وَاحِدًا عُثْمَانُ ؓ
“The sandals of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ had two thongs, as did those of Abu Bakr and 'Umar ᴿᴬ, and the first to tie a single knot was 'Uthman ᴿᴬ.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 86Sahih
كَانَ خَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنْ وَرِقٍ وَكَانَ فَصُّهُ حَبَشِيًّا
“The signet ring of the Prophet ﷺ consisted of silver, and its stone was Abyssinian.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 87Hasan
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ فَكَانَ يَخْتِمُ بِهِ وَلا يَلْبَسُهُ
"The Prophet ﷺ chose a signet ring of silver, so he used to seal [letters] with it, and he would not wear it.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 88Sahih
قَالَ كَانَ خَاتَمُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ فَصُّهُ مِنْهُ
“The signet ring of the Prophet ﷺ consisted of silver, including its stone.”

لَمَّا أَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَكْتُبَ إِلَى الْعَجَمِ قِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّ الْعَجَمَ لا يَقْبَلُونَ إِلا كِتَابًا عَلَيْهِ خَاتَمٌ فَاصْطَنَعَ خَاتَمًا فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَيَاضِهِ فِي كَفِّهِ
“When Allah’s Messenger ﷺ wished to write to the non-Arabs, he was told: ‘The non-Arabs will not accept a letter unless it bears a seal.’ He therefore created a signet, and [even now] I can see its whiteness in the palm of his hand.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 90Sahih
قَالَ كَانَ نَقْشُ خَاتَمِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مُحَمَّدٌ سَطْرٌ وَرَسُولٌ سَطْرٌ وَاللَّهُ سَطْرٌ
“The inscription engraved [in Arabic script] on the signet ring of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ was: Muhammadun forming one line, Rasulu forming one line, and Allahi forming one line.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 91Sahih
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَتَبَ إِلَى كِسْرَى وَقَيْصَرَ وَالنَّجَاشِيِّ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّهُمْ لا يَقْبَلُونَ كِتَابًا إِلا بِخَاتَمٍ فَصَاغَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَاتَمًا حَلْقَتُهُ فِضَّةٌ وَنُقِشَ فِيهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ
"The Prophet ﷺ wrote to Chosroes, Caesar and the Negus, whereupon he was told: 'The non-Arabs will not accept a letter unless it bears a seal.' Allah’s Messenger ﷺ therefore cast a signet which had a silver ring, and on which was engraved; “Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 92Weak
كَانَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْخَلاءَ نَزَعَ خَاتَمَهُ
"When the Prophet ﷺ entered the toilet, he used to remove his signet ring.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 93Sahih
اتَّخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ فَكَانَ فِي يَدِهِ ثُمَّ كَانَ فِي يَدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَيَدِ عُمَرَ ثُمَّ كَانَ فِي يَدِ عُثْمَانَ حَتَّى وَقَعَ فِي بِئْرِ أَرِيسٍ نَقْشُهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ
“Allah’s Messenger ﷺ chose a signet ring of silver, so it was in his possession. Then it was in the possession of Abu Bakr and the possession of 'Umar. Then it was in the possession of 'Uthman, until it fell into the well of Aris. Its engraved inscription was: ‘Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.”

كَانَ يَلْبَسُ خَاتَمَهُ فِي يَمِينِهِ
“The Prophet ﷺ used to wear his signet ring on his right hand.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ - نَحْوَهُ:،:

Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 96Sahih
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ
"I saw Ibn Abi Rafi' wearing a signet ring on his right hand, so I asked him about that and he said: 'I saw 'Abdu llah ibn Ja'far wearing a signet ring on his right hand', and 'Abdullah ibn Ja'far said: 'Allah’s Messenger ﷺ used to wear a signet ring on his right hand'.”

كَانَ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ
“He ﷺ used to wear a signet ring on his right hand.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 98Sahih
كَانَ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ
"The Prophet ﷺ used to wear a signet ring on his right hand.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 99Hasan
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ
“Ibn 'Abbas used to wear a signet ring on his right hand, without adornment, and he said: 'Allah’s Messenger ﷺ used to wear a signet ring on his right hand'.”

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَجَعَلَ فَصَّهُ مِمَّا يَلِي كَفَّهُ وَنَقَشَ فِيهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ وَنَهَى أَنْ يَنْقُشَ أَحَدٌ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ الَّذِي سَقَطَ مِنْ مُعَيْقِيبٍ فِي بِئْرِ أَرِيسٍ
"The Prophet ﷺ chose a signet ring of silver, and put its stone in the part close to the palm of his hand. On it he engraved: “Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,” and he forbade anyone [else] to engrave on it. It is the one that fell from Mu'aiqib into the well of Aris.”

كان الحسن والحسين يتختمان في يسارهما
"Al-Hasan and al-Husain used to wear signet rings on their left hands."

كَانَ يَتَخَتَّمُ فِي يَمِينِهِ
“He ﷺ used to wear a signet ring on his right hand.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 103Sahih
اتَّخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَكَانَ يَلْبَسُهُ فِي يَمِينِهِ فَاتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَطَرَحَهُ ﷺ وَقَالَ لا أَلْبَسُهُ أَبدًا فَطَرَحَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ
"Allah’s Messenger ﷺ chose a signet ring of gold, and he used to wear it on his right hand. The people therefore chose signet rings of gold, so he threw it away ﷺ and said: 'I shall never wear it!' The people therefore threw their signet rings away.”

“Ihe pommel of the sword of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ was made of silver.”

“The pommel of the sword of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ was made of silver."

دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى سَيْفِهِ ذَهَبٌ وَفِضَّةٌ قَالَ طَالِبٌ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْفِضَّةِ فَقَالَ كَانَتْ قَبِيعَةُ السَّيْفِ فِضَّةً
"Allah’s Messenger ﷺ entered Mecca on the Day of Victory with gold and silver on his sword. An inquirer said: 'I asked him about the silver', and he said: ‘The pommel of the sword was silver'.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 107Weak
صنعت سيفي على سيف سمرة بن جندب وزعم سمرة أنه صنع سَيْفِه على سيف رَسُولِ اللهِﷺ وكان حنيفيا حدثنا عقبة بن مكرم البصري قال حدثنا محمد بن بكر عن عثمان بن سعد بهذا الإسناد نحوه
"I made my sword in the shape of the sword of Samura ibn Jundub." Samura also claimed that he made his sword in the shape of the sword of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ, for he was a Hanafi.
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 108No grade recorded
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ - بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ:

Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 109Hasan
كَانَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ دِرْعَانِ فَنَهَضَ إِلَى الصَّخْرَةِ فَلَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَأَقْعَدَ طَلْحَةَ تَحْتَهُ وَصَعِدَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حَتَّى اسْتَوَى عَلَى الصَّخْرَةِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَوْجَبَ طَلْحَةُ
"The Prophet ﷺ wore two coats of mail on the Day of Uhud, so he tried to climb the boulder but was not able. He therefore made Talha sit beneath him, and the Prophet ﷺ, climbed up until he stood upright on the rock." He said: "I heard the Prophet say ﷺ: 'Talha performed a deed worthy of reward'!”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 110Sahih
كَانَ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ دِرْعَانِ قَدْ ظَاهَرَ بَيْنَهُمَا
"Allah’s Messenger ﷺ wore on the Day of Uhud two coats of mail between which he rendered support.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 111Sahih
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ وَعَلَيْهِ مِغْفَرٌ فَقِيلَ لَهُ هَذَا ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ اقْتُلُوهُ
"The Prophet ﷺ entered Mecca wearing a helmet. He was told: 'This Ibn Khatal [son of corrupt speech] is clinging to the curtains of the Ka'ba so he said: 'Kill him!'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ الْمِغْفَرُ قَالَ فَلَمَّا نَزَعَهُ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ خَطَلٍ مُتَعَلِّقٌ بِأَسْتَارِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ اقْتُلُوهُ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُحْرِمًا
“Allah’s Messenger ﷺ entered Mecca in the Year of Victory with the helmet on his head. When he took it off, a man came to him and told him: ‘Ibn Khatal [the son of corrupt speech] is clinging to the curtains of the Ka'ba,’ so he said: ‘Kill him!’ Ibn Shihab said: ‘It has also reached me that Allah’s Messenger ﷺ was not in the state of ritual consecration on that day.’”

دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَيْهِ عِمَامَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ
“The Prophet ﷺ entered Mecca on the Day of Victory wearing a black turban.”

"I saw a black turban on the head of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ.”

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ وَعَلَيْهِ عِمَامَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ
"The Prophet ﷺ addressed the people while wearing a black turban.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 116Hasan
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا اعْتَمَّ سَدَلَ عِمَامَتَهُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ
"When the Prophet ﷺ donned a turban, he let his turban hang down between his shoulders.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 117Sahih
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ وَعَلَيْهِ عِصَابَةٌ دَسْمَاءُ
“The Prophet ﷺ addressed the people while wearing a turban that was dasma’ [marked with traces of oil from his hair].
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 118Sahih
أَخْرَجَتْ إِلَيْنَا عَائِشَةُ كِسَاءً مُلَبَّدًا وَإِزَارًا غَلِيظًا فَقَالَتْ قُبِضَ رُوحُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي هَذَيْنِ
“'A'isha ᴿᴬ brought out to us a tangled garment and a coarse loincloth, then she said: ‘The spirit of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ was taken in these two'.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 119Weak
بَيْنَا أَنَا أَمشِي بِالْمَدِينَةِ إِذَا إِنْسَانٌ خَلْفِي يَقُولُ ارْفَعْ إِزَارَكَ فَإِنَّهُ أَتْقَى وَأَبْقَى فَإِذَا هُوَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّمَا هِيَ بُرْدَةٌ مَلْحَاءُ قَالَ أَمَا لَكَ فِيَّ أُسْوَةٌ؟ فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا إِزَارُهُ إِلَى نِصْفِ سَاقَيْهِ
"I heard my maternal aunt relate, on the authority of her paternal uncle; 'While I was walking in Medina, someone behind me said: ‘Raise your loincloth, for that is more pious and conducive to longer wear.’ Lo and behold, he was Allah’s Messenger ﷺ ', so I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, it is simply a black garment with white stripes!’ He said: ‘Do you not have an example in me?’ so I looked and noticed that his loincloth was to half his shins'.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 120Weak
كَانَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ يَأْتَزِرُ إِلَى أَنْصَافِ سَاقَيْهِ وَقَالَ هَكَذَا كَانَتْ إِزْرَةُ صَاحِبِي يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ
"'Uthman ibn 'Affan used to wear a loincloth reaching the middle parts of his shins, and he said: 'In this manner was the loincloth of my Companion', meaning the Prophet ﷺ.”
Ash-Shama'il al-Muhammadiyah 121Sahih
أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِعَضَلَةِ سَاقِي أَوْ سَاقِهِ فَقَالَ هَذَا مَوْضِعُ الإِزَارِ فَإِنْ أَبَيْتَ فَأَسْفَلَ فَإِنْ أَبَيْتَ فَلا حَقَّ لِلإِزَارِ فِي الْكَعْبَيْنِ
"Allah’s Messenger ﷺ took hold of the calf of my legs or his leg, and he said: 'This is the position of the loincloth, and if you object, then somewhat lower down, but if you object, the loincloth has no right to the ankles'.”
