machine translationThere is disagreement about it concerning Ḥumayd. Ismāʿīl b. Jaʿfar, Ibn ʿUlayyah, Anas b. ʿIyāḍ, al-Qāsim b. Mālik al-Muzanī, ʿImrān al-Qaṭṭān, Mindal b. ʿAlī and al-Thawrī narrated it, and it was said to be from Shuʿbah; Idrīs al-Ḥaddād said this from ʿĀṣim b. ʿAlī, from Shuʿbah, while others narrated it from ʿĀṣim b. ʿAlī, from Ismāʿīl b. Jaʿfar, from Ḥumayd. Muʿtamir b. Sulaymān narrated it, and there is disagreement about him, as well as ʿAlī b. ʿĀṣim and Khālid al-Wāsiṭī, from Ḥumayd, from Anas. Sahl b. Yūsuf, Sulaymān b. Bilāl, Muḥammad b. Ṭalḥah and Yaḥyā b. Ayyūb al-Miṣrī differed from them. It was also said, from ʿAbd al-Wahhāb b. ʿAṭāʾ, from Ḥumayd, from Thābit, from Anas. There is disagreement about ʿAbd al-Wahhāb, for it was said from him, from Ḥumayd, from Ayyūb al-Sakhtiyānī, from Anas. There is also disagreement about Ḥammād b. Salamah: Ibrāhīm b. al-Ḥajjāj and ʿAbd al-Ghaffār b. Dāwūd narrated it from Ḥammād, from Ḥumayd, from al-Ḥasan, from Anas. Al-Ḥasan al-Ashyab and Ḥajjāj b. Muḥammad said, from Ḥammād, from Ḥumayd, from Anas, and al-Ḥasan, as Ḥumayd supposes. Hudbah said, from Ḥammād, from Ḥumayd, from al-Ḥasan or Anas. Dāwūd b. Shabīb said, from Ḥammād, from Ḥumayd, from al-Ḥasan, as a mursal report; and from Ḥabīb b. al-Shahīd, from al-Ḥasan, from Anas. ʿĀram and Sulaymān b. Ḥarb made it mawqūf, from Ḥammād, from Ḥabīb, from al-Ḥasan, from Anas. The preserved (maḥfūẓ) version from Ḥammād is from Ḥabīb, from al-Ḥasan, from Anas; and from Ḥabīb, from Anas; and from al-Ḥasan as a mursal report. There is also disagreement about Hushaym: ʿAlī b. Muslim narrated it from Hushaym, from Ḥumayd, from Anas, and from Yūnus, from al-Ḥasan, as a mursal report, and this is the correct (ṣaḥīḥ) one.
