✧ Whoever buys a sheep that has been left unmilked for some time is entitled to the choice: if he wishes, he may return it along with a measure of dates.

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was asked: Which deeds are most virtuous? He said: Prayer at its proper time, then kindness to parents, then striving in the path of God.

لَا تُغَالُوا بِمُهُورِ النِّسَاءِ، فَإِنَّهَا لَوْ كَانَتْ مَكْرُمَةً فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ كَانَ أَحَقَّكُمْ بِهَا وَأُولَاكُمْ بِهَا مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَهْلُ بَيْتِهِ، مَا زَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ نِسَائِهِ وَلَا زَوَّجَ بِنْتًا مِنْ بَنَاتِهِ بِأَكْثَرَ مِنِ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ وَقِيَّةً
✧ Do not go to excess in the dowries of women, for if it were a source of honor in this world and the next, then the most entitled among you to it and the foremost among you in it would be Muhammad the Messenger of God ﷺ and his family. He did not marry any of his wives or give any of his daughters in marriage for more than twelve uqiyyahs.

✧ Among the supplications of the Messenger of God ﷺ was: “O God, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your favor, the transformation of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all of Your wrath.”

✧ O God, whoever wrongs the people of Madinah or frightens them, frighten him, and upon him be the curse of God, the angels, and all people; neither obligatory nor supererogatory deeds will be accepted from him.

مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى رَجُلٍ وَاضِعٍ رِجْلَهُ عَلَى صَفْحَةِ شَاةٍ وَهُوَ يُحِدُّ شَفْرَتَهُ وَهِيَ تَلْحَظُ إِلَيْهِ بِبَصَرِهَا، فَقَالَ: أَفَلَا قَبْلَ هَذَا ؟ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تُمِيتَهَا مَوْتَتَيْنِ
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ passed by a man who had placed his foot on the side of a sheep while sharpening his blade, and the sheep was looking at him. He said, “Will you not do this before? Do you want to kill it twice?”

إِنَّ ابْنَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ اشْتَكَتْ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِعُثْمَانَ: أَقِمْ عَلَيْهَا، فَإِنَّهُ لَا بُدَّ لَهَا مِنِّي أَوْ مِنْكَ، وَأَنْتَ أَحَقُّ فَخَلَّفَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَيْهَا، فَلَمَّا فَتَحَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ أَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُبَشِّرُهُ بِأَنَّ اللهَ قَدْ أَتَمَّ عِدَّتَهُمْ بِكَ ".
✧ The daughter of the Messenger of God ﷺ fell ill, and the Messenger of God ﷺ said to Uthman, “Stay with her, for she must have either me or you, and you are more entitled.” So the Messenger of God ﷺ left him with her. When God granted victory, the Messenger of God ﷺ sent to give him the glad tidings that God had completed their count with you.

لَمَّا هَاجَرْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ قَسَمَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَشَرَةً عَشَرَةً فَكُنْتُ فِي الْعَشَرَةِ الَّتِي كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَكَانَتْ لَنَا شَاةٌ نَشْرَبُ لَبَنَهَا بَيْنَنَا فَأَبْطَأَ عَلَيْنَا لَيْلَةً، وَقَدْ دَفَعْنَا لَهُ نَصِيبَهُ، فَقُمْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَأَنَا جَائِعٌ، فَشَرِبْتُ، فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَلَمْ أَنَمْ بَعْدُ، فَأَتَى الْإِنَاءَ الَّتِي كُنَّا نَضَعُ فِيهِ اللَّبَنَ فَلَمْ يَجِدْ فِيهِ شَيْئًا، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَلَا أَذْبَحُهَا لَكَ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا
✧ When we migrated to Madinah, the Messenger of God ﷺ divided us into groups of ten. I was in the ten that included the Messenger of God ﷺ. We had a sheep whose milk we drank among ourselves. One night he was late, and we had already set aside his share. I went to it while hungry and drank. Then the Prophet ﷺ came while I had not yet slept. He went to the vessel in which we kept the milk but found nothing in it. I said, “O Messenger of God, shall I slaughter it for you?” He said, “No.”

✧ Return the trust to the one who entrusted you, and do not betray the one who betrayed you.
