✧ A roasted partridge with bread and a lizard was gifted to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "O Allah, bring me the most beloved of Your creation to You to eat with me from this food." A'ishah ؓ said: "O Allah, make it my father." Hafsah ؓ said: "O Allah, make it my father." Anas ؓ said: I said: "O Allah, make it Sa'd b. Ubadah." He said: I heard movement at the door, so I went out and there was Ali ؓ. I said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ is occupied." So he left. Then I heard movement at the door again, and I went out and there was Ali ؓ as before. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard his voice and said: "See who this is." I went out and there was Ali ؓ, so I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him.
