al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 731

✧ On the Day of Judgement, Allah has prepared punishment and anger for those who steal the wealth of a Muslim, or falsely swear on them with a false oath.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَلْقَمْ عَيْنَهُ خُصًّا فَبَصُرَ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَتَوَخَّاهُ بِعُودٍ أَوْ حَدِيدَةٍ لِيَفْقَأَ بِهَا عَيْنَهُ فَلَمَّا أَبْصَرَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ انْقَمَعَ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَمَا إِنَّكَ لَوْ ثَبَتَّ لَفَقَأْتُ عَيْنَكَ»

✧ A Bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and put his eye to a gap in a hut. The Prophet ﷺ saw him and aimed at him with a stick or an iron tool to pierce his eye with it. When the Bedouin saw the Prophet ﷺ, he withdrew. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: Indeed, had you remained, I would have pierced your eye.
