✧ The times when prayer is forbidden

وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ، عَنْ وَبَرَةَ، قَالَ:

( رَأَى عُمَرُ ؓ تَمِيمًا الدَّارِيَّ ؓ يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ فَضَرَبَهُ بِالدِّرَّةِ، فَقَالَ تَمِيمٌ: لِمَ يَا عُمَرُ تَضْرِبُنِي عَلَى صَلَاةٍ صَلَّيْتُهَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ ؓ: يَا تَمِيمُ، لَيْسَ كُلُّ النَّاسِ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَعْلَمُ

Translation

✧ Umar ؓ saw Tamim al-Dari ؓ praying after ʿAsr and struck him with the whip. Tamim said, 'Why, O Umar, do you strike me for a prayer I prayed with the Messenger of God ﷺ?' Umar ؓ said, 'O Tamim, not all people know what you know.'
