    أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِزَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ، قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ صَلَاةَ الْعِيدِ، وَيَتْلُو هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّى وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّى

    ✧ He used to command the zakāt al-fiṭr on the day of fiṭr, before praying the Eid prayer, and he would recite this verse: “He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself and remembers the name of his Lord and prays” [al-Aʿlā 87:14–15].

    ✧ “Indeed I fear for my Ummah three things: the slip of a scholar, a followed whim, and a tyrannical judgment.”

    مَنْ أَحْيَا سُنَّةً مِنْ سُنَّتِي قَدْ أُمِيتَتْ بَعْدِي، كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنَ النَّاسِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا، وَمَنِ ابْتَدَعَ بِدْعَةً لَا يَرْضَى اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ بِهَا، كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِثْلُ أَوْزَارِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنَ النَّاسِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يُنْتَقَصَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْئًا ".

    ✧ “Whoever revives a Sunnah of mine that had died out after me will have the like of the reward of those who act upon it among the people, without diminishing anything from their rewards. And whoever originates an innovation that Allah and His Messenger are not pleased with will bear the like of the burdens of those who act upon it among the people, without anything being reduced from their burdens.”

    أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِنَحْوِهِ

    ✧ Abū Uways reported to us, from Kathīr b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr, from his father, from his grandfather, from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar to it.

    أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حَثَّ يَوْمًا عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ، فَقَامَ عُلْبَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، فَقَالَ: مَا عِنْدِي إِلَّا عِرْضِي، فَإِنِّي أُشْهِدُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي قَدْ تَصَدَّقْتُ بِعِرْضِي عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَنِي، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " أَيْنَ عُلْبَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ؟ " قَالَهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا قَالَ: فَقَامَ عُلْبَةُ فَقَالَ: أَنْتَ الْمُتَصَدِّقُ بِعِرَضِكَ، قَدْ قَبِلَهُ اللهُ مِنْكَ.

    ✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day urged people to give charity. ʿUlbah b. Zayd stood up and said, “I have nothing but my honor. I call upon you, O Messenger of Allah, to witness that I have given my honor as charity to anyone who has wronged me.” Then he sat down. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said—twice or three times—“Where is ʿUlbah b. Zayd?” ʿUlbah stood up, and he said, “You are the one who gave his honor as charity. Allah has accepted it from you.”

    السَّاعَةُ الَّتِي تُرْجَى، يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ مِنْ حِينِ يَخْرُجُ الْإِمَامُ إِلَى أَنْ يَفْرَغَ مِنَ الْخُطْبَةِ.

    ✧ The hour in which hope is placed on Friday is from when the imam comes out until he finishes the sermon.

    أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَبَّرَ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ سَبْعًا، فِي الْأُولَى وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ خَمْسًا ".

    ✧ The Prophet ﷺ said the takbīr in the two Eid prayers seven times in the first and five in the last.

    لَا تَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى تَكُونَ رَابِطَةٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بِمَوْضِعٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ: بُولَانُ، حَتَّى يُقَاتِلُونَ بَنِي الْأَصْفَرِ، يُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، لَا تَأْخُذُهُمْ فِي اللهِ لَوْمَةُ لَائِمٍ، حَتَّى يَفْتَحَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ قُسْطَنْطِينَةَ وَرُومِيَّةَ بِالتَّسْبِيحِ وَالتَّكْبِيرِ، فَيُهْدَمُ حِصْنُهَا، وَحَتَّى يَقْتَسِمُونَ الْمَالَ بِالْأَتْرِسَةِ " قَالَ: " ثُمَّ يَصْرُخُ صَارِخٌ، يَا أَهْلَ الْإِسْلَامِ قَدْ خَرَجَ الْمَسِيحُ الدَّجَّالُ، فِي بِلَادِكُمْ وَدِيَارِكُمْ، فَيَقُولُونَ: مَنْ هَذَا الصَّارِخُ ؟ فَلَا يَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ، فَيَبْعَثُونَ طَلِيعَةً يَنْظُرُ هَلْ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ ؟ فَيَرْجِعُونَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَيَقُولُونَ: لَمْ نَرَ شَيْئًا وَلَمْ نَسْمَعْهُ، فَيَقُولُونَ: إِنَّهُ وَاللهِ مَا صَرَخَ الصَّارِخُ إِلَّا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَوْ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ، تَعَالَوْا نَخْرُجُ بِأَجْمَعِنَا، فَإِنْ يَكُنِ الْمَسِيحُ بِهَا نُقَاتِلْهُ، حَتَّى يَحْكُمَ اللهُ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَهُ، وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْحَاكِمِينَ وَإِنْ يَكُنِ الْأُخْرَى فَإِنَّهَا بِلَادُكُمْ وَعَسَاكِيرُكُمْ وَعَشَائِرُكُمْ رَجَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهَا ".

    ✧ The world will not come to an end until there is a garrison of Muslims at a place called Būlān, fighting the Banū al-Aṣfar, striving in the path of Allah, not deterred by the blame of any blamer, until Allah grants them victory over Constantinople and Rome through glorification and magnification, and its fortress is demolished, and they divide the wealth by shields.” He said: “Then a crier will cry out, ‘O people of Islam, the Masīḥ al-Dajjāl has appeared in your lands and homes.’ They will say, ‘Who is this crier?’ but they will not know who he is. They will send a scouting party to see whether it is the Masīḥ. They will return to them and say, ‘We saw nothing and heard nothing.’ They will say, ‘By Allah, the crier cried out only from heaven or from the earth. Come, let us all go out. If the Masīḥ is there, we will fight him until Allah judges between us and him, and He is the best of judges. If it is something else, then it is your lands, your armies, and your clans to which you have returned.’”

    ✧ Whoever raises a weapon against us is not one of us.

    الزَّكَاةُ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ زَبِيبٍ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ أَقِطٍ ".

    ✧ Zakah is due upon the Muslims: one sa' of dates, or one sa' of raisins, or one sa' of barley, or one sa' of aqit.

    مَنْ أَحْيَا مَوَاتًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ فِي غَيْرِ حَقِّ مُسْلِمٍ فَهُوَ لَهُ، وَلَيْسَ لِعِرْقٍ ظَالِمٍ حَقٌّ، وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ عَلَى شُرُوطِهِمْ ".

    ✧ Whoever revives dead land without any Muslim's right over it, it belongs to him, and an unjust root has no right, and the Muslims are bound by their conditions.

    ثَلَاثًا مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ لَا يَدَعُهَا النَّاسُ أَوْ لَا يَتْرُكُهُنَّ النَّاسُ: الطَّعْنُ فِي النَّسَبِ، وَالنِّيَاحَةُ، وَقَوْلُهُمْ: إِنَّا مُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ كَذَا أَوْ بِنَجْمِ كَذَا ".

    ✧ Three things from the affairs of Jahiliyyah that people will not abandon, or people will not leave: slandering lineages, wailing, and saying, 'We have been given rain by such-and-such a star'.

    أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَقْطَعَ بِلَالَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ الْمُزَنِيَّ الْمَعَادِنَ الْقَبَلِيَّةَ جَلْسِيَّهَا وَغَوْرِيَّهَا، وَحَيْثُ يَصْلُحُ الزَّرْعُ مِنْ قُدْسٍ ".

    ✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted Bilal b. al-Harith al-Muzani the mines of al-Qabaliyyah, its highlands and lowlands, and where cultivation is suitable from Quds.

    " وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْمُرُ بِالْإِثْمِدِ عِنْدَ النَّوْمِ ".

    ✧ And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to enjoin the use of ithmid at bedtime.

    إِنَّ الْإِسْلَامَ بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا وَسَيَعُودُ كَمَا بَدَأَ، فَطُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاءِ ".

    ✧ Verily Islam began as something strange and will return as it began, so glad tidings to the strangers.

    لَا تَلَقَّوُا الْجَلَبَ، وَلَا يَبِعْ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ.

    ✧ Do not go out to meet caravans, and a townsman must not sell on behalf of a Bedouin.

    كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَصَلَّى نَحْوَ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ سَبْعَةَ عَشَرَ شَهْرًا، ثُمَّ حَوَّلَ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ ".

    ✧ We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he came to Madinah, and he prayed facing Bayt al-Maqdis for seventeen months, then he turned towards the Ka'bah.
