أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:
مَنْ أَحْيَا سُنَّةً مِنْ سُنَّتِي قَدْ أُمِيتَتْ بَعْدِي، كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنَ النَّاسِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا، وَمَنِ ابْتَدَعَ بِدْعَةً لَا يَرْضَى اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ بِهَا، كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِثْلُ أَوْزَارِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنَ النَّاسِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يُنْتَقَصَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْئًا ".

✧ “Whoever revives a Sunnah of mine that had died out after me will have the like of the reward of those who act upon it among the people, without diminishing anything from their rewards. And whoever originates an innovation that Allah and His Messenger are not pleased with will bear the like of the burdens of those who act upon it among the people, without anything being reduced from their burdens.”
