أَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تِسْعًا بِالْمَدِينَةِ لَمْ يَحُجَّ، ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ فِي النَّاسِ بِالْخُرُوجِ، فَلَمَّا جَاءَ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ صَلَّى بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ، فَوَلَدَتْ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ عُمَيْسٍ، مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: اغْتَسِلِي وَاسْتَثْفِرِي بِالثَّوْبِ وَأَهِلِّي، قَالَ: فَفَعَلَتْ، فَلَمَّا اطْمَأَنَّ صَدْرُ رَاحِلَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْبَيْدَاءِ أَهَلَّ وَأَهْلَلْنَا مَعَهُ، لَا نَعْرِفُ إِلَّا الْحَجَّ وَلَهُ خَرَجْنَا، وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِنَا، وَالْقُرْآنُ يَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يَعْرِفُ تَأْوِيلَهُ، وَإِنَّمَا يَفْعَلُ مَا أُمِرَ بِهِ. قَالَ جَابِرٌ: فَنَظَرْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ، وَمِنْ خَلْفِي، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي، وَعَنْ شِمَالِي مَدَّ بَصَرِي، وَالنَّاسُ مُشَاةٌ وَالرُّكْبَانُ، فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُلَبِّي يَقُولُ: لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ بَدَأَ فَاسْتَلَمَ الرُّكْنَ، فَسَعَى ثَلَاثَةَ أَطْوَافٍ، وَمَشَى أَرْبَعًا، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ طَوَافِهِ وَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى الْمَقَامِ، فَقَالَ: قَالَ اللهُ: وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى صَلَّى خَلْفَ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ. قَالَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ: قَالَ أَبِي: كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِيهِمَا بِالتَّوْحِيدِ: قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ، وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ قَالَ: وَلَمْ يُذْكَرْ ذَلِكَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ. قَالَ جَابِرٌ: ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ إِلَى الرُّكْنِ فَاسْتَلَمَهُ، ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ إِلَى الصَّفَا، فَقَالَ: نَبْدَأُ بِمَا بَدَأَ اللهُ بِهِ: إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللهِ، فَرَقِيَ عَلَى الصَّفَا، حَتَّى بَدَا لَهُ الْبَيْتُ، وَكَبَّرَ ثَلَاثًا، وَقَالَ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ، بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، ثَلَاثًا، وَدَعَا فِي ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ هَبَطَ مِنَ الصَّفَا، فَمَشَى حَتَّى إِذَا تَصَوَّبَتْ قَدَمَاهُ فِي بَطْنِ الْمَسِيلِ، سَعَى حَتَّى إِذَا صَعِدَتْ قَدَمَاهُ فِي بَطْنِ الْمَسِيلِ مَشَى إِلَى الْمَرْوَةِ فَرَقِيَ إِلَى الْمَرْوَةِ، حَتَّى بَدَا لَهُ الْبَيْتُ، فَقَالَ مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ عَلَى الصَّفَا، فَطَافَ سَبْعًا، فَقَالَ: مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ الْهَدْيُ فَلْيَحْلِلْ، وَمَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ الْهَدْيُ فَلْيَقُمْ عَلَى إِحْرَامِهِ، فَإِنِّي لَوْلَا أَنَّ مَعِي هَدْيًا لَأَحْلَلْتُ، وَلَوْ أَنِّي اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ لَأَهْلَلْتُ بِعُمْرَةٍ. قَالَ: وَقَدِمَ عَلِيٌّ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ أَهْلَلْتَ يَا عَلِيُّ ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُهِلُّ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ رَسُولُكَ. قَالَ: فَإِنَّ مَعِيَ هَدْيًا فَلَا تَحِلَّ. قَالَ عَلِيٌّ: فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ وَقَدِ اكْتَحَلَتْ، وَلَبِسَتْ ثِيَابًا صَبِيغًا، فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ أَمَرَكِ بِهَذَا ؟ قَالَتْ: أَبِي أَمَرَنِي، قَالَ: فَكَانَ عَلِيٌّ يَقُولُ بِالْعِرَاقِ: فَانْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مُحَرِّشًا عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ مُسْتَثْبِتًا فِي الَّذِي قَالَتْ، فَقَالَ: صَدَقَتْ، أَنَا أَمَرْتُهَا. قَالَ: وَنَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِائَةَ بَدَنَةٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ، بِيَدِهِ ثَلَاثًا وَسِتِّينَ بَدَنَةً، وَنَحَرَ عَلِيٌّ مَا غَبَرَ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ مِنْ كُلِّ بَدَنَةٍ قِطْعَةً فَطُبِخُوا جَمِيعًا، فَأَكَلَا مِنَ اللَّحْمِ، وَشَرِبَا مِنَ الْمَرَقِ. قَالَ سُرَاقَةُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ جُعْشُمٍ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَلِعَامِنَا هَذَا أَمْ لِلْأَبَدِ ؟ قَالَ: بَلْ لِلْأَبَدِ، دَخَلَتِ الْعُمْرَةُ فِي الْحَجِّ، وَشَبَّكَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed nine years in Madinah without performing Hajj. Then he announced to the people that they should set out. When he came to Dhu al-Hulayfah, he prayed at Dhu al-Hulayfah. Asma bint Umays gave birth to Muhammad b. Abi Bakr, and she sent word to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: Take a bath, wrap yourself with a cloth, and enter ihram. He said: So she did. When the chest of the Messenger of Allah's mount was settled on the back of al-Bayda, he entered ihram and we entered ihram with him. We knew nothing but Hajj, and for that we set out. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was among us, and the Quran was being revealed to him, and he knew its interpretation. He only did what he was commanded. Jabir said: I looked before me, behind me, to my right, and to my left as far as my sight could extend, and the people were on foot and mounted. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ began the talbiyah, saying: Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayk la sharika laka labbayk, inna al-hamda wa al-ni'mata laka wa al-mulk, la sharika lak. When we reached Makkah, he began by touching the corner, then he hastened for three circuits and walked for four. When he finished his tawaf, he went to the Maqam and said: Allah said: And take the Maqam of Ibrahim as a place of prayer. He prayed two rak'ahs behind the Maqam of Ibrahim. Jafar b. Muhammad said: My father said: He used to recite in them the Surah of Tawhid: 'Say: O disbelievers' and 'Say: He is Allah, the One.' He said: And that was not mentioned from Jabir. Jabir said: Then he went to the corner and touched it, then he went to al-Safa and said: We begin with what Allah began with: Indeed, al-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. He ascended al-Safa until the House became visible to him, and he said takbir three times and said: There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion, and His is the praise, He gives life and causes death, in His hand is all good, and He has power over all things—three times, and he supplicated during that. Then he descended from al-Safa and walked until when his feet were placed in the bottom of the valley, he hastened until when his feet ascended from the bottom of the valley, he walked to al-Marwah and ascended al-Marwah until the House became visible to him, and he said the like of what he said on al-Safa. He performed seven circuits, then said: Whoever does not have a sacrificial animal with him should exit ihram, and whoever has a sacrificial animal should remain in ihram. If I did not have a sacrificial animal with me, I would have exited ihram. And if I were to face in my affair what I have left behind, I would have entered ihram for Umrah. He said: Ali came from Yemen, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him: With what did you enter ihram, O Ali? He said: I said: O Allah, I enter ihram with what Your Messenger enters ihram. He said: For I have a sacrificial animal, so do not exit ihram. Ali said: I entered upon Fatimah, and she had applied kohl and put on dyed clothes. I said: Who commanded you to do this? She said: My father commanded me. He said: Ali used to say in Iraq: I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, angry with Fatimah, seeking confirmation of what she said. He said: She has spoken the truth; I commanded her. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered one hundred camels from that, sixty-three with his own hand, and Ali slaughtered the rest. Then he took a piece from each camel, and they cooked them all together, and they both ate from the meat and drank from the broth. Suraqah b. Malik b. Jushum said: O Messenger of Allah, is this for this year of ours or forever? He said: Rather, forever. The Umrah has entered into the Hajj, and he interlaced his fingers.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَكَلَ فِي بَيْتِهَا عَرْقًا، فَجَاءَهُ بِلَالٌ فَآذَنَهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ، فَقَامَ لِيُصَلِّيَ، فَأَخَذْتُ بِثَوْبِهِ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَةِ، أَلَا تَوَضَّأُ ؟ قَالَ: مِمَّ أَتَوَضَّأُ، أَيْ بُنَيَّةُ، فَقُلْتُ: مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَوَلَيْسَ أَطْهَرُ طَعَامِكُمْ مَا مَسَّتْهُ النَّارُ. ؟
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate a bone with meat in her house. Bilal came to him and called him to prayer, so he stood up to pray. I took hold of his garment and said: O father, should you not perform wudu? He said: From what should I perform wudu, O my little daughter? I said: From what the fire has touched. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Is not the purest of your food that which the fire has touched?

أَقْبَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ تَمْشِي كَأَنَّ مَشْيَهَا مِشْيَةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: مَرْحَبًا بِابْنَتِي، وَأَجْلَسَهَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ أَوْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، وَأَسَرَّ إِلَيْهَا حَدِيثًا فَبَكَتْ، ثُمَّ أَسَرَّ إِلَيْهَا حَدِيثًا فَضَحِكَتْ، فَقُلْتُ: مَا رَأَيْتُ كَالْيَوْمِ حُزْنًا أَقْرَبَ مِنْ فَرَحٍ ! أَيُّ شَيْءٍ أَسَرَّ إِلَيْكِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَتْ: مَا كُنْتُ لِأُفْشِيَ سِرَّ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا قُبِضَ سَأَلْتُهَا، فَقَالَتْ: قَالَ: إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ كَانَ يَأْتِينِي فَيُعَارِضُنِي الْقُرْآنَ مَرَّةً، وَإِنَّهُ أَتَانِي الْعَامَ فَعَارَضَنِي بِهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَلَا أُرَى أَجَلِي إِلَّا قَدْ حَضَرَ، وَنِعْمَ السَّلَفُ أَنَا لَكِ، وَإِنَّكِ أَوَّلُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي لُحُوقًا بِي، فَبَكَيْتُ لِذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: أَمَا تَرْضَيْنَ أَنْ تَكُونِي سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، أَوْ نِسَاءِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ ؟ قَالَتْ: فَضَحِكْتُ
✧ Fatimah approached walking, and her gait resembled the gait of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: Welcome to my daughter. Then he seated her on his right or on his left, and he secretly told her something, so she wept. Then he secretly told her something, so she laughed. I said: I have never seen sorrow closer to joy than today! What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ secretly tell you? She said: I would not divulge the secret of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When he passed away, I asked her, and she said: He said: Gabriel used to come to me and review the Qur'an with me once a year, but this year he came to me and reviewed it with me twice. I do not think my term has come except that it is near. What an excellent predecessor I am for you, and you are the first of my household to join me. So I wept for that. Then he said: Are you not pleased to be the mistress of the women of the believers, or the women of this community? She said: So I laughed.

قَبَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ انْصَرَفَ وَوَقَفَ وَسْطَ الطَّرِيقِ، فَإِذَا نَحْنُ بِامْرَأَةٍ مُقْبِلَةٍ لَا نَظُنُّ أَنَّهُ عَرَفَهَا، فَلَمَّا دَنَتْ، إِذَا هِيَ فَاطِمَةُ، فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: يَا فَاطِمَةُ، مَا أَخْرَجَكِ مِنْ بَيْتِكِ ؟ قَالَتْ: أَتَيْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَهْلَ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ فَرَحِمْتُ إِلَيْهِمْ مَيِّتَهُمْ، أَوْ عَزَّيْتُهُمْ، لَا أَحْفَظُ أَيَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ. قَالَ رَبِيعَةُ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَعَلَّكِ بَلَغْتِ مَعَهُمُ الْكُدَى ؟ قَالَتْ: مَعَاذَ اللهِ، وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُكَ تَذْكُرُ فِيهَا مَا تَذْكُرُ، قَالَ: لَوْ بَلَغْتِ الْكُدَى مَا رَأَيْتِ الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى يَرَاهَا جَدُّكِ أَبُو أُمِّكِ، أَوْ أَبُو أَبِيكِ
✧ We buried with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day, and when he finished, he departed and stood in the middle of the road. Then there was a woman approaching whom we did not think he recognized. When she drew near, it was Fatimah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her: O Fatimah, what brought you out of your house? She said: I came, O Messenger of Allah, to the family of this house to show mercy to their deceased, or to console them—I do not remember which of the two she said. Rabi'ah said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Perhaps you reached the graves with them? She said: I seek refuge with Allah, and I have heard you mention concerning it what you mention. He said: If you had reached the graves, you would not have seen Paradise until your grandfather, the father of your mother, or the father of your father, sees it.

نَظَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِلَى عَلِيٍّ، فَقَالَ: هَذَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِنَّ مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ قَوْمًا يَعْلَمُونَ الْإِسْلَامَ، ثُمَّ يَرْفُضُونَهُ، لَهُمْ نَبَزٌ يُسَمَّوْنَ الرَّافِضَةَ، مَنْ لَقِيَهُمْ فَلْيَقْتُلْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ مُشْرِكُونَ
✧ The Prophet ﷺ looked at 'Ali and said: This one is in Paradise. Among his followers there will be people who learn Islam and then abandon it. They have a nickname by which they are called: the Rafidah. Whoever meets them, let him kill them, for they are polytheists.

أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ الْمُتَوَضَّأَ فَأَصَابَ لُقْمَةً - أَوْ قَالَ: كِسْرَةً - فِي مَجْرَى الْغَائِطِ وَالْبَوْلِ، فَأَخَذَهَا، فَأَمَاطَ عَنْهَا الْأَذَى فَغَسَلَهَا غَسْلًا نِعِمَّا، ثُمَّ دَفَعَهَا إِلَى غُلَامِهِ، فَقَالَ: يَا غُلَامُ، ذَكِّرْنِي بِهَا إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتُ، فَلَمَّا تَوَضَّأَ قَالَ لِلْغُلَامِ: يَا غُلَامُ، نَاوِلْنِي اللُّقْمَةَ، أَوْ قَالَ: الْكِسْرَةَ، فَقَالَ: يَا مَوْلَايَ أَكَلْتُهَا، قَالَ: فَاذْهَبْ فَأَنْتَ حُرٌّ لِوَجْهِ اللهِ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ لَهُ الْغُلَامُ: يَا مَوْلَايَ، لِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ أَعْتَقْتَنِي ؟ قَالَ: لِأَنِّي سَمِعْتُ مِنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللهِ تَذْكُرُ عَنْ أَبِيهَا رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ: مَنْ أَخَذَ لُقْمَةً أَوْ كِسْرَةً مِنْ مَجْرَى الْغَائِطِ وَالْبَوْلِ، فَأَخَذَهَا فَأَمَاطَ عَنْهَا الْأَذَى وَغَسَلَهَا غَسْلًا نِعِمَّا ثُمَّ أَكَلَهَا لَمْ تَسْتَقِرَّ فِي بَطْنِهِ حَتَّى يُغْفَرَ لَهُ، فَمَا كُنْتُ لِأَسْتَخْدِمَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ
✧ He entered the privy and found a morsel—or he said: a piece of bread—in the path of excrement and urine. He took it, removed the filth from it, and washed it thoroughly. Then he handed it to his servant and said: O boy, remind me of it when I perform ablution. When he performed ablution, he said to the boy: O boy, hand me the morsel—or he said: the piece of bread. The boy said: O my master, I ate it. He said: Then go, for you are free for the sake of Allah. The boy said to him: O my master, for what reason did you set me free? He said: Because I heard Fatimah, daughter of the Messenger of Allah, mention from her father, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: Whoever takes a morsel or a piece of bread from the path of excrement and urine, removes the filth from it, washes it thoroughly, then eats it—it will not settle in his stomach until he is forgiven. So I would not employ a man from the people of Paradise.

جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقَالَتْ: يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ، أَنْتَ وَرِثْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمْ أَهْلُهُ ؟ قَالَ: بَلْ أَهْلُهُ، قَالَتْ: فَمَا بَالُ سَهْمِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: إِذَا أَطْعَمَ اللهُ نَبِيًّا طُعْمَةً، ثُمَّ قَبَضَهُ، جَعَلَهُ لِلَّذِي يَقُومُ بَعْدَهُ، فَرَأَيْتُ أَنْ أَرُدَّهُ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ، فَقَالَتْ: أَنْتَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ أَعْلَمُ
✧ Fatimah came to Abu Bakr and said: O successor of the Messenger of Allah, did you inherit the Messenger of Allah ﷺ or his family? He said: Rather his family. She said: Then what about the share of the Messenger of Allah? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: When Allah gives a prophet a provision and then takes him, He makes it for the one who stands after him. So I thought to return it to the Muslims. She said: You and the Messenger of Allah know best.

أَنَّ أَزْوَاجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ اجْتَمَعْنَ إِلَى فَاطِمَةَ، فَقُلْنَ لَهَا: ائْتِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَقُولِي لَهُ: إِنَّ أَزْوَاجَكَ يَنْشُدْنَكَ الْعَدْلَ فِي بِنْتِ أَبِي قُحَافَةَ، فَأَتَتْهُ فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: أَمَا تُحِبِّينَ مَنْ أُحِبُّ ؟ قَالَتْ: بَلَى، قَالَ: فَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ هَذِهِ
✧ The wives of the Prophet ﷺ gathered together to Fatimah and said to her: Go to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and say to him: Your wives beseech you for justice regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah. So she went to him and mentioned that to him. He said: Would you not love the one whom I love? She said: Yes. He said: For I love this one.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ قَالَ: بِسْمِ اللهِ، وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي، وَافْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَإِذَا خَرَجَ قَالَ: بِسْمِ اللهِ، وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي، وَافْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ فَضْلِكَ
✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque, he would say: In the name of Allah, and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, forgive me my sins and open for me the gates of Your mercy. And when he left, he would say: In the name of Allah, and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, forgive me my sins and open for me the gates of Your bounty.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَعَا بِنْتَهُ فَاطِمَةَ، فَسَارَّهَا فَبَكَتْ، ثُمَّ سَارَّهَا فَضَحِكَتْ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: فَقُلْتُ لِفَاطِمَةَ: مَا هَذَا الَّذِي سَارَّكِ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَبَكَيْتِ، ثُمَّ سَارَّكِ فَضَحِكْتِ ؟ قَالَتْ: سَارَّنِي فَأَخْبَرَنِي بِمَوْتِهِ، فَبَكَيْتُ، ثُمَّ سَارَّنِي فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنِّي أَوَّلُ مَنْ يَتْبَعُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ، فَضَحِكْتُ
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called his daughter Fatimah and whispered to her, and she wept. Then he whispered to her, and she laughed. 'A'ishah said: I said to Fatimah, 'What is this that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ whispered to you, so you wept, then he whispered to you, so you laughed?' She said: 'He whispered to me and told me of his death, so I wept. Then he whispered to me and told me that I would be the first of his family to follow him, so I laughed.'

سَأَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَادِمًا، فَقَالَ: أَلَا أَدُلُّكِ عَلَى مَا هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ ذَلِكَ ؟ تُسَبِّحِينَ اللهَ، وَتُكَبِّرِينَ، وَتَحْمَدِينَ اللهَ إِذَا أَوَيْتِ إِلَى فِرَاشِكِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ
✧ Fatimah asked the Prophet ﷺ for a servant. He said: 'Shall I not direct you to something better than that? Glorify Allah, magnify Him, and praise Allah one hundred times when you go to your bed.'
