“Supplicate to Allah to heal me.” He ﷺ said: “If you wish I will supplicate for you, and if you wish, you can be patient, for that is better for you.” He said: “Then supplicate to Him.” He said: “So he ordered him to perform Wudu’ and to make his Wudu’ complete, and to supplicate with this supplication: ‘O Allah, I ask You and turn towards You by Your Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the Prophet of Mercy. Indeed, I have turned to my Lord, by means of You, concerning this need of mine, so that it can be resolved, so O Allah so accept his intercession for me (Allāhumma innī as’aluka wa atawajjahu ilaika binabiyyka Muḥammadin nabi-ir-raḥmati, innī tawajjahtu bika ila rabbī fī ḥājatī hādhihī lituqḍā lī, Allāhumma fashaffiʿhu fīyya).’”

What scholars said about it
In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.
- أبو زرعة الرازي
الصحيح حديث شعبة
machine translationThe sound (ṣaḥīḥ) report is the hadith of Shuʿbah.
machine translationAbū Zurʿah ruled in favor of Shuʿbah, since he did not know of anyone who followed Hishām al-Dastuwāʾī. I found in my own records, from Yūnus b. ʿAbd al-Aʿlā, from Yazīd b. Wahb, from Abū Saʿīd al-Tamīmī, meaning Shabīb b. Saʿīd, from Rawḥ b. al-Qāsim, from Abū Jaʿfar, from Abū Umāmah b. Sahl b. Ḥunayf, from his paternal uncle ʿUthmān b. Ḥunayf, from the Prophet ﷺ, the like of the hadith of Hishām al-Dastuwāʾī, with a fuller text. Rawḥ b. al-Qāsim is trustworthy (thiqah), and his hadith is gathered. So the agreement of al-Dastuwāʾī and Rawḥ b. al-Qāsim indicates that their narration is more sound (aṣaḥḥ).
in جامع الترمذي, p. 3936 - Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥākim
صحيح على شرط الشيخين
machine translationAuthentic (ṣaḥīḥ), meeting the criteria of the two Shaykhs.
in جامع الترمذي, p. 3936 - Ibn Mājah
