حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ، سَمِعَ أَبَا الْبَخْتَرِيِّ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ:

لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللهِ وَالْفَتْحُ قَرَأَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى خَتَمَهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَنَا وَأَصْحَابِي حَيِّزٌ، وَالنَّاسُ حَيِّزٌ، لَا هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ الْفَتْحِ. قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ: فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ مَرْوَانَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ - وَكَانَ أَمِيرًا عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ - فَقَالَ: كَذَبْتَ، وَعِنْدَهُ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، وَزَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ، فَقُلْتُ: أَمَا إِنَّ هَذَيْنِ لَوْ شَاءَا لَحَدَّثَاكَ، وَلَكِنَّ هَذَا يَخْشَى أَنْ تَنْزِعَهُ عَنِ الصَّدَقَةِ، وَهَذَا يَخْشَى أَنْ تَنْزِعَهُ عَنْ عِرَافَةِ قَوْمِهِ، فَرَفَعَ عَلَيَّ الدِّرَّةَ، فَلَمَّا رَأَيَا ذَلِكَ قَالَا: صَدَقَ

✧ When this verse was revealed, "When the help of God comes, and the victory," the Messenger of God ﷺ recited it to its end, then said, "I and my companions are one side, and the people are another side. There is no emigration after the victory." Abu Said said: I narrated this hadith to Marwan b. al-Hakam—who was governor over Madinah—and he said, "You have lied," while Zayd b. Thabit and Zayd b. Arqam were with him. I said, "If these two wished, they would tell you, but this one fears that you would remove him from the charity, and this one fears that you would remove him from the leadership of his people." He raised the whip against me, and when they saw that, they said, "He has spoken the truth."
