✧ The Prophet of God ﷺ said one day in his sermon: "Indeed my Lord—or: indeed my Lord—commanded me to teach you what you do not know of what He taught me this day. Every wealth I have bestowed upon My servant is lawful. I created all My servants as upright, and the devils came to them and lured them away from their religion, forbidding them what I had made lawful for them and commanding them to associate with Me that for which I sent down no authority. And God, Mighty and Majestic, looked upon the people of the earth and despised them, Arab and non-Arab, except for remnants of the People of the Book. He said: 'O Muhammad, I sent you only to test you and to test through you. I have sent down to you a Book that water does not wash away; you read it asleep and awake.' And God, Mighty and Majestic, commanded me to burn Quraysh. I said: 'My Lord, then they would split my head and leave it like a loaf of bread!' He said: 'Extract them as they extracted you, and raid them; you will be raided against. Spend, and it will be spent on you. Send an army, and We will send five times its like. Fight with those who obey you against those who disobey you.'" And he said: "The people of Paradise are three: a ruler who is moderate, charitable, and guided; a man who is merciful and tender-hearted toward every Muslim relative; and a poor person who is chaste and charitable. The people of the Fire are five: the weak one with no restraint, those among you who are mere followers seeking neither family nor wealth; the treacherous one whose greed never remains hidden, however small, without betraying it; a man who does not rise in the morning or fall in the evening without trying to deceive you about your family and wealth—and he mentioned miserliness or lying—and the foul-mouthed miser."
