✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ when two disputants came quarreling over land. One of them was Imru' al-Qays b. 'Abis al-Kindi and the other was Rabi'a b. 'Aydan. Imru' al-Qays said: 'O Messenger of Allah, this man seized my land!' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Your proof.' He said: 'I have no proof!' He said: 'Then he takes an oath.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, then he will take it!' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'You have no right except that.' When he stood up to swear, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed, if he swears falsely to take his land, he will meet Allah while He is angry with him.'
