- M. ibn Ḥibbān al-Bustī
machine translationIbn Ḥibbān and others deemed it defective (muʿall) due to a break in the chain (inqiṭāʿ), and because the narration of Saʿīd b. Abī Hind did not hear from Abū Mūsā.
in سنن النسائي, p. 5162 - M. ibn Ḥibbān al-Bustī
in سنن النسائي, p. 5162 - Dāraquṭnī

machine translationThe hadith of Saʿīd b. Abī Hind from Abū Mūsā is defective (maʿlūl) and not sound (ṣaḥīḥ).
in سنن النسائي, p. 5162 - Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
machine translationIbn Ḥazm went by the apparent state of the chain and declared it sound, but it is defective (maʿlūl) due to a break in the chain (inqiṭāʿ).
in سنن النسائي, p. 5162 - Dāraquṭnī
in سنن النسائي, p. 5162 - Dāraquṭnī
machine translationʿAbdullāh b. Saʿīd b. Abī Hind narrates it, and there is disagreement about Nāfiʿ. Ayyūb al-Sakhtiyānī and ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar narrated it from Nāfiʿ, from Saʿīd b. Abī Hind, from Abū Mūsā. Suwayd b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz narrated it from ʿUbaydullāh, from Saʿīd b. Abī Saʿīd al-Maqburī, from Abū Mūsā, and he erred in two places: in his saying Saʿīd al-Maqburī, when it is really Saʿīd b. Abī Hind, and in omitting Nāfiʿ from the chain. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar al-ʿUmarī narrated it from Nāfiʿ, from Saʿīd b. Abī Hind, from a man, from Abū Mūsā, and this is closer to the correct version, because Saʿīd b. Abī Hind did not hear anything from Abū Mūsā. Usāmah b. Zayd said, from Saʿīd b. Hind, from Abū Murrah, the freedman of ʿAqīl, from Abū Mūsā, in the hadith on the prohibition of playing backgammon, and this is the correct one. This strengthens the statement of al-ʿUmarī from Nāfiʿ, from Saʿīd b. Abī Hind, from a man. And God knows best.
