حَدَّثَنَا أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ سُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ - ؓ قَالَتْ:
قَالَ لِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ: مَا عِنْدَنَا مِنَ الْمَالِ غَيْرُ قَدَحٍ وَلِقْحَةٍ، فَإِذَا أَنَا مُتُّ فَابْعَثِي بِهِمَا إِلَى عُمَرَ ؓ، فَلَمَّا مَاتَ بَعَثَتْ بِهِمَا إِلَى عُمَرَ ؓ، فَقَالَ: يَرْحَمُ اللهُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ، لَقَدْ أَتْعَبَ مَنْ بَعْدَهُ
Translation

✧ Abu Bakr ؓ said to me, 'We have no wealth except a bowl and a milch-camel. When I die, send them both to Umar ؓ.' When he died, she sent them to Umar ؓ, and he said, 'May Allah have mercy on Abu Bakr. He has indeed made it difficult for those who come after him.'
