أَخْبَرَنَا ) مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، ثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ:
قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ حِينَ حُضِرَ: انْظُرِي كُلَّ شَيْءٍ زَادَ فِي مَالِي مُنْذُ دَخَلْتُ فِي هَذِهِ الْإِمَارَةِ، فَرُدِّيهِ إِلَى الْخَلِيفَةِ مِنْ بَعْدِي، قَالَتْ: فَلَمَّا مَاتَ، نَظَرْنَا فَمَا وَجَدْنَا زَادَ فِي مَالِهِ إِلَّا نَاضِحًا، كَانَ يَسْقِي بُسْتَانًا لَهُ، وَغُلَامًا نُوبِيٍّا كَانَ يَحْمِلُ صَبِيًّا لَهُ، قَالَتْ: فَأَرْسَلْتُ بِهِ إِلَى عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَتْ فَأُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّ عُمَرَ ؓ بَكَى، وَقَالَ: رَحِمَ اللهُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ، لَقَدْ أَتْعَبَ مَنْ بَعْدَهُ تَعَبًا شَدِيدًا
