✧ I was with the Najadat and committed sins that I think are only major sins. I came to Ibn Umar ؓ and he said: They are (nine), and he counted them: associating partners with Allah, killing a soul without right, fleeing from battle, slandering a chaste woman, consuming riba, consuming the property of an orphan, deviation in the Sacred Mosque, the one who (practices sorcery), and causing one's parents to weep (through disobedience). When Ibn Umar ؓ saw my fear, he said: Do you fear entering the Fire? I said: Yes. He said: Would you like to enter Paradise? I said: Yes. He said: Are your parents alive?
