✧ The Virtue of Fear of Allah the Exalted and Weeping from His Fear

وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

« مَنْ هَمَّ بِحَسَنَةٍ فَعَمِلَهَا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ عَشْرُ حَسَنَاتٍ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ حَسَنَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ، وَإِنْ هَمَّ بِسَيِّئَةٍ فَعَمِلَهَا كُتِبَتْ عَلَيْهِ سَيِّئَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا لَمْ يُكْتَبْ عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ

Translation

✧ "Whoever intends a good deed and performs it, ten good deeds are written for him. If he does not perform it, one good deed is written for him. And if he intends an evil deed and performs it, one evil deed is written against him. If he does not perform it, nothing is written against him."
