  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationThus Muslim narrated it to us. And Abū ʿUmar al-Ḥawḍī narrated to us, from Shuʿbah, from Yazīd b. Khumayr, from Sulaymān, from the son of the daughter of Abū al-Dardāʾ, from Abū al-Dardāʾ, who said: "If you knew..." — it is a statement stopping at the Companion (mawqūf). My father said: This is more likely, and the mawqūf version is more authentic (aṣaḥḥ). The companions of Shuʿbah do not trace this hadith back to the Prophet (they do not report it as raised, marfūʿ).
