✧ Ma'iz b. Malik came, and he mentioned the hadith about his stoning. He said: Then two men passed by him and said, "What a failure this one is! Allah concealed him, yet he did not conceal himself." So he was agitated as a dog is agitated. Then the Prophet ﷺ came upon a carcass and said, "Bite from this carcass." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, this is a carcass; we cannot." He ﷺ said, "What you have gotten from your brother is more foul than this carcass."
