✧ I said: "O Messenger of Allah, we come across camels that have milk and are left unmilked, and we are in need." He ﷺ said: "Call out 'O owner of the camels' three times. If he comes, then (ask him); otherwise, untie their udder straps and drink, then tie them again and leave some milk for the next milking." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, advise me." He ﷺ said: "Establish prayer, give zakah, fast Ramadan, perform Hajj to the House, perform ʿUmrah, be dutiful to your parents, maintain ties of kinship, honor the guest, enjoin good, forbid evil, and move with the truth wherever it moves." He said: I then said: "O Messenger of Allah, lost animals come to us; is there any reward for us if we give them water?" He ﷺ said: "Yes, in every living being with a thirsty liver there is a reward."
