al-Matalib al-'Aliyah 2679

✧ Prohibition of silk for men and its permissibility for women, and the permissibility of selling it to one for whom wearing it is allowed

وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثَنَا عَبَّادٌ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، أَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، أَخْبَرَتْنِي أُنَيْسَةُ بِنْتُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهَا، ؓ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

الذَّهَبُ وَالْحَرِيرُ حَلَالٌ لِإِنَاثِ أُمَّتِي حَرَامٌ عَلَى ذُكُورِهَا
