✧ Consulting women about themselves and the father's execution of the marriage even if he did not consult her

وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ أَوْ مُهَاجِرِ بْنِ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ؓ قَالَ:

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَرَقَّ بَيْنَ جَارِيَةٍ بِكْرٍ وَبَيْنَ زَوْجِهَا، زَوَّجَهَا أَبُوهَا وَهِيَ كَارِهَةٌ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا زَوَّجَ أَحَدًا مِنْ بَنَاتِهِ أَتَى خِدْرَهَا وَقَالَ: « إِنَّ فُلَانًا يَذْكُرُ فُلَانَةً

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ separated a virgin girl from her husband; her father had given her in marriage while she was unwilling. He said: And whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave one of his daughters in marriage, he would come to her curtain and say: "Indeed so-and-so mentions so-and-so."
