al-Matalib al-'Aliyah 1750

✧ The Creditor Has the Right to Speak, and the Virtue of One Who Pays His Debt

أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ اسْتَسْلَفَ مِنْ أَعْرَابِيٍّ بَعِيرًا، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ، وَقَالَ فِيهِ: فَانْتَهَرَهُ أَصْحَابُ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  2. Hishām b. ʿUrwah
  3. his father

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ borrowed a camel from a Bedouin, and he mentioned something similar, and in it he said: 'So the companions of Muhammad ﷺ scolded him.'
