✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ bought a camel from a Bedouin for a wasq of pressed dates. The Messenger of God ﷺ looked for dates but did not find them. The Bedouin objected and shouted: 'What treachery!' The companions of the Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'O enemy of God.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'Leave him, for the one who has a right has a say.' Then the Messenger of God ﷺ sent to Khawla bt. Hakim and said: 'Tell her: I bought from this Bedouin a camel for a wasq of pressed dates and did not find them with my family. So lend me a wasq of pressed dates for this Bedouin.' She responded to him. When the Bedouin took possession, he returned to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said to him: 'Have you received it?' He said: 'Yes, you have fulfilled and been good.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'The best of people are those who fulfill and are good.'
