al-Mustadrak (al-Hakim) 8653

Translation

✧ I set out with Zur'ah b. Damrah al-Ash'ari to Umar b. al-Khattab. We met Abdullah b. Amr. He said, "It is imminent that no Arab will remain in the land of the non-Arabs except one killed or taken captive whose blood is to be judged." Zur'ah said, "Will the polytheists prevail over Islam?" He said, "From whom are you?" He said, "From Banu Amir b. Sa'sa'ah." He said, "The Hour will not arise until the women of Banu Amir push against each other at Dhu al-Khalasah, an idol that was worshipped in the pre-Islamic era." He said, "We mentioned the statement of Abdullah b. Amr to Umar b. al-Khattab. Umar said three times, 'Abdullah b. Amr knows best what he says.' Then Umar b. al-Khattab gave a sermon on Friday and said, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "A group of my ummah will continue to be victorious upon the truth until the command of Allah comes."' He said, 'We mentioned the statement of Umar to Abdullah b. Amr. He said, "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ spoke the truth. When that happens, it is as I said."'
