75. ✧ Abdullah b. al-Harith b. Juz' al-Zubaydi ᴿᴬ

    " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْتَنْجِيَ أَحَدٌ بِعَظْمٍ أَوْ رَوْثَةٍ أَوْ حُمَمَةٍ

    ✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that anyone cleanse himself with bones, dung, or charcoal.

    أَنَّهُ مَرَّ وَصَاحِبٌ لَهُ بِنَاسٍ، وَفِتْيَةٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ قَدْ حَلُّوا أُزُرَهُمْ فَهُمْ عُرَاةٌ يَتَجَالَدُونَ بِهَا، قَالَ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ: فَلَمَّا مَرَرْنَا بِهِمْ، قَالُوا: إِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ كَذَا فَدَعُوهُمْ، ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَلَمَّا أَبْصَرُوهُ تَبَادَرُوا فَرَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مُغْضَبًا وَكُنْتُ وَرَاءَ الْحُجْرَةِ أَسْمَعُهُ يَقُولُ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ لَا مِنَ اللهِ اسْتَحْيَوْا وَلَا مِنْ رَسُولِهِ اسْتَتَرُوا

    ✧ He and a companion of his passed by some people, and young men of Quraysh had lowered their loincloths, so they were naked, striking each other with them. Al-Zubaydi said: When we passed by them, they said, 'These are such-and-such, so leave them alone.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to them, and when they saw him, they rushed away, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned angry. I was behind the room and I heard him saying: 'Glory be to Allah! They were not ashamed before Allah, nor did they cover themselves from His Messenger.'

    لَوَدِدْتُ أَنَّ بَيْنِيَ وَبَيْنَ أَهْلِ نَجْرَانَ حِجَابًا مِنْ شِدَّةِ مَا كَانُوا يُجَادِلُونَهُ

    ✧ I would love that there be a barrier between me and the people of Najran because of how intensely they used to argue with him.

    " مَا كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ وَجْبَةً بِالْمَدِينَةِ إِلَّا ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ الدَّجَّالُ لِمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُحَدِّثُنَا عَنْهُ وَيُقَرِّبُهُ لَنَا

    ✧ We never heard a loud sound in Madinah except that we thought it was the Dajjal, because the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to tell us about him and bring him near to us.

    " أَنَّ الْيَهُودَ، أَتَوْا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَهُودِيٍّ وَيَهُودِيَّةٍ زَنَيَا وَقَدْ أُحْصِنَا فَأَمَرَ بِهِمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَرُجِمَا، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ: فَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ رَجَمَهُمَا

    ✧ The Jews brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a Jewish man and a Jewish woman who had committed adultery while they were married, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered them to be stoned, and they were stoned. Abdullah b. al-Harith said: I was among those who stoned them.

    تُوُفِّيَ رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَسْلَمَ غَرِيبًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ عِنْدَ الْقَبْرِ: " مَا اسْمُكَ ؟ فَقُلْتُ: الْعَاصِي وَقَالَ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ: " مَا اسْمُكَ ؟ فَقَالَ: الْعَاصِي، وَقَالَ لِلْعَاصِي: مَا اسْمُكَ ؟ فَقَالَ الْعَاصِي: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَنْتُمْ عَبِيدُ اللهِ انْزِلُوا قَالَ: فَوَارَيْنَا صَاحِبَنَا، ثُمَّ خَرَجْنَا مِنَ الْقَبْرِ وَقَدْ بُدِّلَتْ أَسْمَاؤُنَا

    ✧ A man died among those who had come to the Prophet ﷺ and embraced Islam as a stranger. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said while he was at the grave: 'What is your name?' I said, 'Al-Asi (the disobedient).' He said to Ibn Umar: 'What is your name?' He replied, 'Al-Asi.' And he said to al-Asi: 'What is your name?' He said, 'Al-Asi.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'You are the servants of Allah, descend.' He said: So we buried our companion, then we came out of the grave and our names had been changed.

    أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَقَالَ: " آمِينَ، آمِينَ، آمِينَ " فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، لَقَدْ رَأَيْنَاكَ صَنَعْتَ شَيْئًا مَا كُنْتَ تَصْنَعُهُ قَالَ: إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ تَبَدَّى لِي فِي أَوَّلِ دَرَجَةٍ، فَقَالَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ، مَنْ أَدْرَكَ أَحَدَ وَالِدَيْهِ فَلَمْ يُدْخِلَاهُ الْجَنَّةَ فَأَبْعَدَهُ اللهُ ثُمَّ أَبْعَدَهُ قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ: " آمِينَ " ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي فِي الدَّرَجَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ: وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ فَلَمْ يُغْفَرْ لَهُ فَأَبْعَدَهُ اللهُ، ثُمَّ أَبْعَدَهُ، فَقُلْتُ: " آمِينَ " ثُمَّ تَبَدَّى لِي فِي الثَّالِثَةِ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ مَنْ ذُكِرْتَ عِنْدَهُ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْكَ فَأَبْعَدَهُ اللهُ ثُمَّ أَبْعَدَهُ، فَقُلْتُ: آمِينَ.

    ✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque, ascended the pulpit, and said: 'Amin, amin, amin.' When he finished, it was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we saw you do something you had not done before.' He said: 'Jibril appeared to me at the first step and said: "O Muhammad, whoever reaches one of his parents in old age and they do not cause him to enter Paradise, may Allah distance him, then distance him." So I said, "Amin." Then he said to me at the second step: "Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and is not forgiven, may Allah distance him, then distance him." So I said, "Amin." Then he appeared to me at the third step and said: "Whoever hears you mentioned and does not send blessings upon you, may Allah distance him, then distance him." So I said, "Amin."'
