✧ I took Abu Sufyan by the hand and brought him to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said: O Messenger of God, Abu Sufyan is a man who loves to hear something, so give him something. He said: "Whoever enters the house of Abu Sufyan is safe, and whoever locks his door is safe." Then he stood, and I took him by the hand and seated him by the road. The companions of the Messenger of God ﷺ began passing by him in groups. He would say: Who are these? I would say: These are Muzayna. He would say: What do I have to do with Muzayna? There was no war between me and them in Jahiliyya or Islam. Then another group would pass, and he would say: Who are these? I would say: These are Juhayna. Until the Messenger of God ﷺ passed by among the Muhajirun. When he saw them approaching, he turned to me and said: Your nephew has been given a great kingdom. And he mentioned much speech in this regard.

✧ We were transporting stones to the House when Quraysh were building the House. Some men carried stones, two by two, and the women carried the mortar. I and my nephew carried stones, and we would place our garments under the stones so that when people came upon us we could wrap ourselves. He said: While I was walking with Muhammad ﷺ in front of me, wearing nothing, Muhammad ﷺ stepped back and fell flat on his face. I came running, threw down the two stones, and he was looking at something above him. I said, 'What is the matter with you?' He stood up, took his loincloth, and said, 'I was forbidden to walk naked.' I said, 'Keep it secret from the people for fear they would say he is possessed.'
