✧ The Prophet ﷺ was on his gray mule on the day of Hunayn, and I was on one side and Abu Sufyan b. al-Harith on the other, holding its bridle. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'O Abbas, call out to the people, to the companions of the Samurah tree.' Al-Abbas called them, and he was a man with a loud voice. When he called them, they turned like cattle turning to their young. Then the voice rose: 'O company of the Ansar.' Then the call became specific: 'O Banu al-Harith b. al-Khazraj.' Then he said: 'O companions of Surat al-Baqarah.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a handful of pebbles and said: 'Now the battle has grown fierce.'
