وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ: نَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ قَالَ:

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ قُرَيْشًا إِذَا الْتَقَوْا لَقِيَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا بِالْبَشَاشَةِ، فَإِذَا لَقُونَا لَقُونَا بِوُجُوهٍ لَا نَعْرِفُهَا قَالَ: فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ غَضَبًا شَدِيدًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَا يَدْخُلُ قَلْبًا الْإِيمَانُ حَتَّى يُحِبَّكُمْ لِلهِ وَرَسُولِهِ

✧ I said: "O Messenger of Allah, the Quraysh, when they meet each other, they meet each other with cheerful faces, but when they meet us, they meet us with faces we do not recognize." He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ became very angry, then he said: "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, faith will not enter a heart until they love you for the sake of Allah and His Messenger."
