✧ A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, is there any hour of the night or day in which you command me not to pray?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When you have prayed the morning prayer, refrain from praying until the sun has risen, for it rises between the two horns of a devil. Then prayer is witnessed, attended, and accepted until midday. When midday comes, refrain from praying until the sun declines.' He said: 'At that time Hell is stoked, and the intense heat is from the blaze of Hell. When the sun has declined, prayer is attended, witnessed, and accepted until you pray 'Asr. When you have prayed 'Asr, refrain from praying until the sun sets. Then prayer is witnessed, attended, and accepted until you pray the morning prayer.'

machine translationZayd b. Yaḥyā b. ʿUbayd narrated it from al-Layth, from Ibn ʿAjlān, from Saʿīd al-Maqburī, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab, from ʿAmr b. ʿAbasah, but he erred in mentioning Ibn al-Musayyab.
