Prohibited Times for Prayer

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«إِذَا بَرَزَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَأَمْسِكُوا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى يَسْتَوِيَ فَإِذَا غَابَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَأَمْسِكُوا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى يَغِيبَ»

Translation

✧ “When the sun’s edge appears, withhold from prayer until it is fully risen; and when the sun’s edge disappears, withhold from prayer until it has fully set.”
