✧ I came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of God, who has embraced Islam?' He said: 'A free man and a slave.' I said: 'Is there any hour closer to God Almighty than another?' He said: 'The last part of the night. Pray as much as you wish until you pray the morning prayer, then stop until the sun rises, and as long as it is like a shield until it spreads. Then pray as much as you wish until the spear's shadow stands on its shadow, then stop until the sun declines, for Hell is kindled at midday. Then pray as much as you wish until you pray the afternoon prayer, then stop until the sun sets, for it sets between the two horns of a devil and rises between the two horns of a devil. When a servant performs ablution and washes his hands, his sins fall from between his hands. When he washes his face, his sins fall from his face. When he washes his forearms and wipes his head, his sins fall from his forearms and head. When he washes his feet, his sins fall from his feet. Then when he stands for prayer, and he, his heart, and his face—or a word like face—are directed to God Almighty, he departs as his mother bore him.' It was said to him: 'Did you hear this from the Messenger of God ﷺ?' He said: 'If I had not heard it once or twice or ten or twenty times, I would not have narrated it.'
