✧ Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ever quote poetry? She said: When he entered his house, he would quote, saying: ‘If the son of Adam had two valleys of gold, he would desire a third, and nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust, and Allah relents to whoever repents. Wealth was only created so that prayer may be performed and zakat may be given.’ She said: We used to think that this was from what was abrogated from the Quran.
