حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ:

أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ضَبٌّ فَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَلَا أُطْعِمُهُ السُّؤَّالَ ؟ قَالَ: لَا أُطْعِمُ السُّؤَّالَ إِلَّا مَا آكُلُ مِنْهُ

✧ A dabb lizard was gifted to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but he did not eat from it. I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, shall I not feed it to the beggars?’ He said, ‘Do not feed the beggars except what I eat from it.’
