حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ

لَوْ أَنَّ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَيْنِ مِنْ مَالٍ إِذًا لَابْتَغَى وَادِيًا ثَالِثًا، وَلَا يَمْلَأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ. قَالَ عَفَّانُ: ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ اللهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ

Translation

✧ If the son of Adam had two valleys of wealth, he would seek a third, and nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust. Affan said: Then Allah turns in mercy to whoever repents.
