وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:
مُرَّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِجِنَازَةٍ، فَأَثْنَوْا عَلَيْهَا خَيْرًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: وَجَبَتْ، ثُمَّ مُرَّ بِجِنَازَةٍ، فَأَثْنَوْا عَلَيْهَا شَرًّا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: وَجَبَتْ، أَنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءُ اللهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ
Translation
Chain of narrators

✧ A funeral procession was brought past the Prophet ﷺ, and they praised it with good, so the Messenger of God ﷺ said: “It is affirmed.” Then a funeral procession was brought past, and they praised it with evil, so the Messenger of God ﷺ said: “It is affirmed. You are God’s witnesses on the earth.”
