أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
مُرَّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِجِنَازَةٍ فَأُثْنِيَّ عَلَيْهَا خَيْرًا مِنْ مَنَاقِبِ الْخَيْرِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَجَبَتْ أَنْتُمْ شُهُودُ اللهِ فِي الأَرْضِ

✧ A funeral was brought past the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and it was praised with good qualities of virtue. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “It is affirmed. You are Allah’s witnesses on the earth.”
