✧ Humayd al-Tawil from Anas b. Malik

حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حَجَمَهُ أَبُو طَيْبَةَ، فَأَمَرَ لَهُ بِصَاعَيْنِ مِنْ طَعَامٍ، وَكَلَّمَ مَوَالِيَهُ فَخَفَّفُوا عَنْهُ مِنْ ضَرِيبَتِهِ، وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: خَيْرُ مَا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ الْحِجَامَةُ، وَالْقُسْطُ الْبَحْرِيُّ، وَلَا تُعَذِّبُوا صِبْيَانَكُمْ بِالْغَمْزِ مِنَ الْعُذْرَةِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ had Abu Tayba cupping him, so he ordered two sa's of food for him, and spoke to his masters so they reduced his levy. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "The best with which you treat yourselves is cupping and sea costus, and do not torture your children by pressing the uvula."
