حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، وَثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
سَمِعَ أَصْوَاتًا، فَقَالَ: مَا هَذِهِ الْأَصْوَاتُ ؟ قَالُوا: النَّخْلُ يَأْبُرُونَهُ، فَقَالَ: لَوْ لَمْ يَفْعَلُوا لَصَلَحَ، قَالَ: فَأَمْسَكُوا فَلَمْ يَأْبُرُوا عَامَهُمْ، فَصَارَ شِيصًا، فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: إِذَا كَانَ مِنْ أَمْرِ دُنْيَاكُمْ فَشَأْنَكُمْ، وَإِذَا كَانَ شَيْءٌ مِنْ أَمْرِ دِينِكُمْ فَإِلَيَّ

✧ He heard voices and said, 'What are these voices?' They said, 'They are pollinating date palms.' He said, 'If they did not do it, it would still be sound.' He said: So they refrained and did not pollinate that year, and the dates turned out to be inferior. That was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, 'If it is a matter of your worldly affairs, then it is your concern; but if it is a matter of your religion, then it is to me.'
