حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ الصُّنَابِحِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ تَطْلُعُ مَعَهَا قَرْنُ شَيْطَانٍ، فَإِذَا ارْتَفَعَتْ فَارَقَهَا، فَإِذَا اسْتَوَتْ قَارَنَهَا، فَإِذَا زَالَتْ فَارَقَهَا، فَإِذَا دَنَتْ لِلْغُرُوبِ قَارَنَهَا، فَإِذَا غَرَبَتْ فَارَقَهَا، فَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي تِلْكَ السَّاعَاتِ

Translation

  5. ʿAbdullāh al-Ṣunābiḥī
  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ The sun rises with a horn of Satan, and when it rises high, he leaves it; when it is at its zenith, he joins it; when it declines, he leaves it; when it approaches setting, he joins it; when it sets, he leaves it. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade prayer during those times.
