حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ، قَالَ:
قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ وَالنَّاسُ يَجُبُّونَ أَسْنِمَةَ الْإِبِلِ، وَيَقْطَعُونَ أَلَيَاتِ الْغَنَمِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَا قُطِعَ مِنَ الْبَهِيمَةِ وَهِيَ حَيَّةٌ، فَهِيَ مَيْتَةٌ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Madinah while the people were cutting the humps of camels and cutting the fat tails of sheep. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whatever is cut from an animal while it is alive is dead meat."
