حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ، يَقُولُ:

قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ، فَقَالَ: وَاللهِ مَا أَخْشَى عَلَيْكُمْ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِلَّا مَا يَخْرُجُ لَكُمْ مِنْ زَهْرَةِ الدُّنْيَا. فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَيَأْتِي الْخَيْرُ بِالشَّرِّ ؟ فَصَمَتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and addressed the people, saying: "By Allah, I do not fear for you, O people, except what comes to you from the splendor of this world." A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, does good bring evil?" The Messenger of Allah remained silent.
