حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ حَلَقَ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَأَصْحَابُهُ إِلَّا أَبَا قَتَادَةَ، وَعُثْمَانَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: يَرْحَمُ اللهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ. قَالُوا: وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ؟ قَالَ: " يَرْحَمُ اللهُ الْمُحَلِّقِينَ ". قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ ". فِي الثَّالِثَةِ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ shaved his head on the day of al-Hudaybiyah along with his Companions except Abu Qatadah and Uthman. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "May Allah have mercy on those who shave." They said: "And those who shorten, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "May Allah have mercy on those who shave." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, and those who shorten?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "And those who shorten" on the third time.
