حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يُونُسَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
مَا بُعِثَ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ وَلَا اسْتُخْلِفَ مِنْ خَلِيفَةٍ، إِلَّا كَانَتْ لَهُ بِطَانَتَانِ: بِطَانَةٌ تَأْمُرُهُ بِالْخَيْرِ وَتَحُضُّهُ عَلَيْهِ، وَبِطَانَةٌ تَأْمُرُهُ بِالشَّرِّ وَتَحُضُّهُ عَلَيْهِ، وَالْمَعْصُومُ مَنْ عَصَمَ اللهُ

✧ There was no prophet sent nor any caliph appointed but that he had two close confidants: one that commands him to good and urges him to it, and one that commands him to evil and urges him to it. The protected one is he whom God protects.
