أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ آدَمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَرَأَ بِالْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ فِي صَلَاةٍ» وَقَالَ لِي «اقْرَأْ بِهِمَا كُلَّمَا نِمْتَ وَكُلَّمَا قُمْتَ»

✧ I heard 'Uqbah b. 'Amir say: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited the two refuge surahs in prayer." And he said to me: "Recite them whenever you sleep and whenever you rise."
