حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ النَّسَائِيُّ أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ثنا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ عَنْ دَاوُدَ الطَّائِيِّ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ قَالَ

رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ تَزْعُمُ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ يَأْكُلُونَ وَيَشْرَبُونَ قَالَ «نَعَمْ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ لَيُعْطَى قُوَّةَ مِائَةِ رَجُلٍ فِي الْأَكْلِ وَالشُّرْبِ وَالْجِمَاعِ وَالشَّهْوَةِ» قَالَ فَإِنَّ الَّذِي يَأْكُلُ تَكُونُ لَهُ الْحَاجَةُ قَالَ «حَاجَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ عَرَقٌ كَرِيحِ الْمِسْكِ فَيُضْمِرُ بَطْنَهُ»

✧ A man from the People of the Book said: “O Abu al-Qasim, you claim that the people of Paradise eat and drink.” He said: “Yes, by the One in whose hand is my soul, indeed one of them will be given the strength of a hundred men in eating, drinking, sexual intercourse, and desire.” He said: “But the one who eats will need to relieve himself.” He said: “The need of one of them is sweat like the fragrance of musk, which makes his belly shrink.”
