✧ While we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the mosque, a man entered and prayed two rak'ahs, and the Prophet ﷺ was watching him. Then he came and greeted the Prophet ﷺ, and he returned the greeting. Then he said, "Go back and pray, for you have not prayed." He said: So he went back and prayed, then came and greeted, and he returned the greeting. Then he said, "Go back and pray, for you have not prayed." He repeated it to him a third or fourth time, and the Prophet ﷺ said the same as his first statement. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, by my father and mother, and by the One who sent down the Book to you, I have striven and tried hard. Show me and teach me." He said, "When you intend to pray, perform wudu' and perfect your wudu', then face the qiblah, say takbir, and recite. Then bow until you are at rest in bowing. Then rise until you are upright in rising. Then prostrate until you are at rest in prostration. Then rise until you are at rest in sitting. Then prostrate until you are at rest in prostration. Then rise. If you complete your prayer on this basis, then you have completed it, and whatever you diminish from this, you only diminish from yourself."
